Im glad you think I don't. Once again, Im not here to prove myself to you or anyone else. Think what you want.

As far as everyone else is concerned, Beta 7 will be released to developers this Tuesday 8-27-13 @ 1:00 pm EDT. This will be the final Beta before the GM is released.

@shenan1982 - I find it hilarious that you compare Apple to McDonalds with regards to Retail. Apple's Retail business and the way we run our operations is very different that your typical retail environment. Granted, most of my employees are not privy to any information about product releases or services any earlier than the public besides a couple of days for training purposes, but I will assure you that Store Leaders and above ARE included in weekly emails and monthly meetings about products, services, etc ahead of time for proper planning, staffing, marketing, etc.

@Tmelon - A new beta for Developers does not affect Store Leaders as we generally don't discuss or service beta products or assist with issues with regards to betas. However, we are aware of these updates ahead of time as we generally get calls/questions about the product. Most Leaders won't publicly discuss this as there is really no need to, but this is the policy current set forth within the CoC.

Get a grip man, you dont know anything so bounce

Do u guys think that iOS 7 might actually launch on the tenth of September ?

No. GM yes. And maybe beta 7 today.
Can't find any reason why they would rush out the public release and not use the time they have until new iPhone releases.

The only reason I can think of is if the new iPhones came
out that week. But I don't think that's likely.

It's worth mentioning that all iPhones that are produced have iOS7 already installed. The GM is probably already there, but not released to the developers.

I assume that Apple is holding back on new API that noboby has hardware to test for.

Examples are the fingerprint sensor (of course) and probably some kind of new AppleTV feature related to game controllers and motion tracking.

I'm curious that there's no talk about a Apple TV hardware update.
Faster CPU, more RAM for App Store, etc.

Probably because a speed bump isn't very interesting, and Apple would announce any new developer platform at WWDC. And ATV updates are very infrequent anyway--I doubt we 'll see one.

Yes. But it would be cool ;)

As you say GM on the day of the event.

The public release is usually around a week to 10 days later, is it not?

Recently Nuance reported that iOS 7 will release September 10th, which could mean the Event COULD happen September 5th, as this would coincide with BGR's report about the iOS 7 GM being seeded to partners at that time. iOS 7 beta 7 may not come, but if the build number of the GM that BGR tweeted is REAL, we could see the GM as soon as next week, with the build number (11A465)

It is safe to assume that there won't be any further beta releases at this point, GM release is just around the corner.

GA = General Availability
GM = Gold Master

Right? Doesn't seem like a typo, considering A and M are on opposite sides of the keyboard.

so much for "doubling down" huh?

It's amazing it already has a release date within 2 weeks when the iOS 7 version for iPad currently runs like crap.

Thats because they will launch iOS 7 for iPad at the iPad event in October. KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON.

Nobody knows.

I get it. I WANT to know. I get we all WANT to know.

But the truth is nobody knows. Some people guess, some peoples guesses are better than others.

The truth is 95% of the people at Apple who are currently working on this likely don't know.

Let's all take a deep breathe and read a book or something.

See you at 1:00 EST.

My guesses:
Either we get a Beta today or we are done until the event.

They will not release the GM before the event because there will be unannounced features and they would rather handle announcing those than have us do it.

iPad iOS 7 held a month until the iPad event.

And in different rows... so highly doubtful it's a typo.
You do realize that typos aren't just based on accidental keystrokes related to keys that are next to each other, right? That's not to say this is one for sure, but it can very well be.

Agreed... just saying it's highly doubtful but not at all impossible.

How come you all can talk about iPad version being late?
Nobody really proved that. And I hate the idea.

You can't "prove" it, but based on the dismal state of iOS 7 on the iPad, the fact that it was released to developers a month later, and October being the likely month for new iPads, it's a very reasonable guess. 9to5 Mac also wrote this:

While iOS 7.0 for iPhone is locked for the iPhone 5S launch in mid-September, there’s chatter inside Apple about the potential of holding back the iPad version for an iOS 7.0.1 release between late September and October; potentially alongside fresh new iPad hardware.

I do realize that, thank you.

ETA: I wasn't suggesting the person typing accidentally hit A instead of M, but rather since they are not close together you have to consciously decide to go over here with my left hand or over here with my right hand in order to accurately articulate the message I want to send. You don't think in your head ("The Gold Master) and then type out GA. Either they refer to the GM as GA (i.e. the people he was sending out the email to will have a general access to the gold master to test their apps) or he was actually referring to the public general access. I was merely refuting the suggestion that it was a typo.
