Depends how much it is/worth the update.

This.

Then again, I said I was done with my 1st gen iPhone after I got a HTC Touch Pro (Windows Mobile *gag*) then a Blackberry Bold (now on ebay). I got my refurb 3G on Friday.

I was really looking forward to the Pre but it's starting to lose some appeal for me for some reason. I hope for competition's sake the Pre doesn't bomb.

Here's to High Hopes while maintaining Low Expectations. :D

I think this sums it up perfectly. I don't have an iphone now and I've been waiting ever since November to get one. No matter what comes around at the WWDC (hopefully 32gb and better battery) I will be getting an iphone ASAP after it.

I think the majority of people with 1Gs and no iPhone at all (but are interested) will be getting the new one.

I've been thinking, and I'm actually going to wait until June/July 2010. I've only had my iPhone a few months, so it would be pretty pointless getting this upcoming one. Unless it turns out to be an all-singing, all-dancing iPhone, I'll keep my 3G.

Anyone else on the same boat?

I am eligible for upgrade in November, which is perfect timing for all the early adopters to find the bugs and Apple to address most of them :)

I was going to buy an iPhone 3G next month, but if it's really coming in June, I don't know...

If it's just video features and a speed bump, I'll probably pass, and just get the next one (or two) after that, as it's apparent that there will be a revision at least once a year, like the iPods.

Definantly going to get it. This will be 3 straight. I have to wait until late July though. :-(

hi guys im new here so be gentle lol.
to carry on from the original question what are you hoping for in the new iphone???
i ask because i gather reading here a few of you have the iphone 3g and im currently deciding what to do?
do i get one now,do i wait till the new one comes out and try to get the 3g cheap or do i buy the new one??
so if your a iphone 3g owner what will you be looking for the new iphone to have for you to upgrade/purchase a new one, because other than the copy and paste feature but that will be a software upgrade oh and a video camera ive not heard anything bad about the current 3g iphone.

Im Definitely getting it, i can sell my 3G For whatever the price of the upgrade is, so its all good.

+1 here, accept i've had mine for a few weeks. :D

As I don't believe there's anyone with a desire to stop me from getting the new iPhone...I don't believe I'll be defiantly getting it. However, that being said, I won't definitely be getting it either. Just probably. ;)

I doubt it

I bout the original iPhone a few weeks after it came out. I bought the 3G iPhone when my original one broke. I doubt I'll get the new one. There would have to be many hardware changes for me to spend the money to get a new iPhone.

Yeah I'll get it. Unfortunately I have to wait until October because that's when my ATT contract expires. This will be my first iphone.

I don't understand. Why get an iphone when u already have iphone 3g? I think my contract is up so I prob will get one, assuming the slingbox player for iphone is out.

Well, IMO most people won't truly decide until the specs are announced but it prob. won't take that much of a spec jump for many of us around here to jump on the upgrade.

If apple ups the CPU of this new model, and video and more storage etc.. then you will see updates in droves on this board.
