My iPad mini fits my back pocket nicely and goes with me everywhere.
Although I am perfectly happy with my iPad mini 2, 32gb at this time, I am anxiously awaiting the release of the 4th gen. I was very disappointed with the 3 and it's lack of update (although I occasionally find myself holding down the start button waiting for an unlock because of my iPhone 6 lol)
I figure/hope the new iPad Mini will be a substantial upgrade this year and will buy a 64gb version with the money that I already had set aside for the upgrade last fall.
I don't know about getting rid of my current iPad Mini 2, as it is still a worthy device and runs iOS 9 just fine. I may just permanently mount it in my car and leave it there. Since I always buy the data version of any device, I can just get another sim from ATT for 10 bucks and add it to my data pool - or pull the sim from my iPad Air because it never leaves the house.
Anyway, yup, I'm upgrading.
UPDATE
this fall hell, lol - I just ordered the iPad Mini 4 - LTE Space Grey 64GB
I'll get it a lot before thinks giving this year - happy camper here! :D

I have an iPad Air 2 since March. I had to choose it over mini only because mini 3 didn't come with 2GB of RAM. Now I'm planning to "upgrade" my iPad Air 2 to iPad mini 4.

The only sense in which that's an upgrade would be smaller physical size (and weight). It's got a slower CPU and may or may not have as much RAM.

I bought one back in June, knowing that there might be an Air 3. Obviously, there isn't, but it performs so well (especially with iOS 9) that I doubt I'd be upgrading now anyway. I think you'll be very pleased.

Nope, I have the Air 2 and Mini 2. I don't feel the need for a Mini 4. The only thing I'll get this year is the iPhone 6s

I'm actually selling my iPad Air. That was and (is) my last iPad. I'm planning to upgrade my iPhone 5s to the iPhone 6s.

Now I'm deciding if I want the 6s or 6s+. Either way, it will replace my iPad and my phone. I want the bigger screen, but still be able to fit it in my pants pocket. Lately, my iPad has been gathering dust. I wish I had a bigger iPhone, but when I'm not using it, I'm using the laptop instead.

The rest of my computing stuff, I do it on the Macbook or my Windows gaming rig.

I may get the pro, but I don't need the keyboard. I've bought keyboards in the past for my iPads and really don't use them. I like the apple pencil, but $99??

not upgrading, but may purchase my first ipad, the mini 4...was prepared to buy the mini 3 but with the meager upgrade from the previous version decided to hold on to my money...

Well it looks like there is no iPad Air update this year so I'll be keeping hold of my iPad Air 2. The mini 4 update doesn't interest me much so I'll keep my mini 3. It's basically the same tech I've been using in my air 2 for the last year so I'm not going to pay another £500 for that.

The potentially tempting features of the Mini 4 (to me) would be the ability to use the multitasking features, which I've been enjoying since the iOS 9 beta, and (if true) a display panel with improved color gamut.

I sold the iPad Air 2 (64+LTE) yesterday on Craigslist and will be using my Mini 2 until the Mini 4 (64+LTE) is available for pickup. My only hesitation would come if the Mini 4 has 1GB of RAM on board -- regardless I'll probably grab it.

The anti-reflective screen magic on the iPad Air 2 was outstanding and I'm looking forward to having it with the Mini 4. The Air 2 was just too big for my purposes - I carry it with me pretty much all day in the financial services industry, to the gym, etc etc.
