One thing I'll add that would be a good incentive to upgrade to the Mini 4, is a louder speaker. Watching some videos on the iPad Mini 2/3 can be annoying with the limited volume of the current speakers.

I'm very interested in upgrading my mini retina 3 to a mini 4 if the specs and performance upgrades make it worthwhile. Force touch would be a bonus as well as fingerprint ID (though I can live without that).

So iPad lineup probably won't get force touch then until next year. :/ and I was looking to upgrade to the newest iPad this year. I don't think Apple would make their Mini more "tech-advanced" than the Air

Most likely, I have an iPad Air and the low RAM is becoming an issue. Safari reloads ages way too much even on iOS 9. Not sure if I'll get a Pro or an Air 3

I might, I have the air 2 and might upgrade if there is a big enough change, but I doubt it for the most part. I went from an iPad three to air 2 and it was a huge leap.

I'm almost definitely upgrading. iPad Pro/Plus is too tempting, of course I need to see the keynote before anything is decided but I suspect I'll make a preorder as soon as it opens.

I will get the air 3 if Apple does release it. I will not get a mini or a large ipad

My iPad 3 is over 3 years old. It's hot, incredibly slow, losing battery capacity fast, and heavy, but I use it almost daily. I actually bought an iPad Air 2 and returned it because of build quality and a lack of any real added functionality. I decided with iOS 9 that I would get an Air 3 and now there may not be an Air 3! Just my luck! Maybe I'm not meant to have another iPad.

The mini is too small and a Pro would be too big. 9.7" fits perfectly between my iPhone 6 and 15" rMBP

I was planning to but I need to buy a new car so there goes the tech budget. :(

You need to get your priorities straight! iPad duh! Can a car browse the web? ;)

I think some of the newer ones can. The only problem is the car won't fit in my purse. :p

*sigh* I keep delaying my upgrade. I had planned on upgrading last year, too, but that was usurped by a Universal/WDW vacation.

Anybody decided they want the ipad pro or the mini 4?or are you happy with what you have for at least another year? Those tempted to get the mini to take on the go?

You forgot to mention the Ipad Air 3 Why?

There is still a good chance there will be a new Ipad Air(3) this fall.

possible but not heard any leaks yet
After hearing that there might not be an Air 3 this year I did start to believe they could possibly skip it. The only thing is that when apple wants to "skip" something but still make money(they always want money) then they come out with a device like the iPad Mini 3 which is essentially identical to the last years model but with touch id. I think they will at least come out with a similar device and call it an iPad Air 3, with who knows what additional features. I am selling my 1st gen Air 32gb right now and I plan to put it towards one of the new devices coming this Fall.

I will only upgrade to a A9X (or whatever it is).

I'm ok with the size. But i will be very excited about the new iPad. I like the Air 2, and I imagine I wlll like the Air 3 also. Should be fun :)

I am still have an iPad2. I use it very little so probably won't be upgrading to a newer one.. I find I mostly use my iPhone6+ for all of the things i used to use my iPad for.

Nope. I had been upgrading every other iPad... 1 / 3 / air. And I just can't imagine any new iPad doing notable more for me than my Air does.

I'd really like an excuse to upgrade my Mini 2 to a Mini 4, but if they don't drastically upgrade the color fidelity of the display, I'll sit on my hands and stick with my Mini 2. I don't expect to be considering upgrading my Air 2 (which may not even be possible, based on the latest rumors).

I still have my iPad 3, and the latest mini. I may upgrade my iPad, but it's not a necessity right now. I might be tempted if it comes with the reported stylus. Then I can get rid of my note 8!!

Just picked up a new iPad Air 2 today with $100 off. Will likely leave it in the sealed box until Wednesday to see what is announced and then decide if I'll keep it or take it back. I have an iPad 4 but when I upgrade my 4 will go to the wife, her 2 will go to the mother in law and mother in law's iPad 1 will likely go to my Dad to try. Keeps everyone in the family happy! :)

I'll wait until Wednesday. If the Mini 4 is indeed a smaller Air 2 (same RAM and screen resolution / color gamut), I may just jump so I can use it for it movies, email and reading PDFs. If it's not, well I may wait until the Air 2 goes on sale. I almost took advantage of Best Buy's sale today, but if we're this close an announcement I'd figure I'd hold out.

The color gamut on the retina Minis is poor - hopefully Apple will upgrade the display panel to match the 9.7" retina displays.
