Still haven't found a compelling reason to upgrade my iPad 3/Retina one. But we'll see!

If there's a "large" iPad coming out that mimics the features of a Cintiq then I'll get that.

Just picked up a new iPad Air 2 today with $100 off. Will likely leave it in the sealed box until Wednesday to see what is announced and then decide if I'll keep it or take it back.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I have an iPad 3, battery life is poor... And the FPS playing FFVII is AWFUL.
I also wanted to take advantage of BestBuys 0% 24 month payment plan. But then I can not return it if I like the iPad Air 3 :(

I want the pro, bro!

iOS 9 really makes a difference on the iPad 3. I was short on throwing it out the window but now I'm not sure what to think about it. Lets wait on iOS9 GM.

Yes. From an iPad 4 to an iPad Air 2. Why not? They're on sale and not being updated this month (I hope!). So far it's been the best iPad I've ever owned.

That makes me so happy. iOS 5 and 6 were solid. iOS 7 slowed it down and caused a lot of lag, but not terrible. When I first installed iOS 8 I was like "WHAT HAPPENED?" I assumed that since iOS 8 looked like 7, the overhead would be roughly the same since I disable most features, but nope. I've done 3 fresh installs of iOS 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 and waited for it to index and it stays slow. iOS 8.4 is particularly bad.

iPad 3...poor med student so maybe not. Hoping the above are right about iOS9.

I do want to upgrade but the 3 is hard to sell.

iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4, pricing for the iPad Pro might be in the $700 range

very unlikey the iPads get Force Touch this year. Next Year probably A9X chips and Force Touch

The iPad Pro is rumoured to get force touch, I can see the iPad Pro costing around $1000 tho.

Depends on what they announce, I have an iPad 2 and an aging 2009 MBP that needs urgent replacing; if the iPad pro meets my needs then Im gonna get that, if not, im gonna save up for the skylake refresh of the RMB

I have no plans for a upgrade this year this got me a iPad Air 2 has my main table my Samsung note 5 is my main phone

I'll do. From Air 2 to mini 4. For my usage (travelling) is smaller form factor better choice. And I found an Air 2 a bit clumsy at home either.

Yes,

I just traded in my iPad (3rd generation) for Amazon credit. I'm just waiting for Wednesday's iPad announcement, then I will be buying an iPad Air 2 64Gb. Still undecided about whether to get cellular option.

Earlier I said I wouldn't be upgrading from my ipad mini retina, but now I'm wavering. If the iPad mini 4 has a faster processer, 2GB ram, better speakers, better battery life, or some significant subset of these, I'll consider it. I'll wait and see what the early adopters say first, however. The gamut isn't much of an issue for me, though a less reflective screen would be nice.

Currently rocking a perfectly usable iPad 4 128GB, I'll probably go the iPad Pro route and keep the 4, not worth selling on, it is in perfect condition and be usable for a good few years yet.

I upgraded from the ipad 4 to an air 2 last july because I was tired of my ipad 4 lags and not so great performance on ios 8. I only upgrade for a fluid experience because I use my ipad everyday (more than my computer) so thats why I wanted to upgrade.

But now, I dont need a new ipad. The air 2 performance is even better than my initial expectation. It is by far my best out of the box ipad yet so as long as it will work fine I will keep it.

This is not the same story for my 6+ by the way. Performance not so good for a high end phone. I dont know yet if I will upgrade or not. But with my air 2, i can keep my 6+ another year just to use it as a phone, I'll see.

That's the thing. It probably won't as it's not something 'everyone' has been asking for. But you would think it would be a no brainer.

I would not count on it.

It depends on exactly what the iPad Pro can do IF it is released. I need a portable digital drawing device and I'm hoping this will work out for me!

A digitizer would be nice. I bought a Galaxy Note because they have Wacom digitizer built in for my drawing after several failed attempts at trying to find a usable pressure sensitive iPad pen.

ok, the new iPad Pro has me interested. I may have to retire the iPad2 after all. I would actually be even more interested in an iPad Air Pro.

I have an iPad Air 2 since March. I had to choose it over mini only because mini 3 didn't come with 2GB of RAM. Now I'm planning to "upgrade" my iPad Air 2 to iPad mini 4.
