I'm going for the 4.7 as soon as possible.. No interest in a 5.5 iPhone, it would be too hard to pocket.
In addition, as much as I love my rMini, it supplements my phone. The OP compared the usefulness of his phone to iPad tasks, but to me, my iPhone does it all and the iPad is useful for some of those tasks.
I guess it's how you look at it.

If the 4.7 comes out, as leaked, castrated with no true-tone flash.
And has other compromises, continuing to reuse old camera sensor, etc etc. Ill wait. The leaks are lining it up to be this years lesser iPhone '6C'.

But. Id prefer the 4.7 upgrade. Smaller steps. In two-3 years can reconsider 5.5"

Good question yet hard to answer. First we have to know more about the IPhone 6 before anyone can really say 'I'm getting it'
At this point in time all we have are rumors and most people really want to see the features before they make a decision I'm sure there will be a difference in features between the 4.7 and the 5.5. Other than the size

There's is no evidence of the existence of a 5.5" iPhone 6.

None.

That is correct. There are only iPhones with 3.5" and 4.0" screens. But since you seemed to have missed it, we are discussing possible coming releases here.

In two-3 years can reconsider 5.5"

5.5" will be 5.5" two years from now as well.

nope. i'll be getting the 4.7" because 5" is my limit. I'd prefer a 5" over a 4.7" but I'd rather a 4.7" over 5.5"

1. 5.0"
2. 4.7"
3. 5.5"

I think Apple will not release a 5.5" model; but will try to out do the Note 4 and do a 6" model for the upcoming holiday season. The Note 4 is going to be in the 5.7-6.0" size.

Most buyers now are going big! There is not demand for the 5" models now; it all 5.5" or bigger. I would be surprise that Sumsung or LG or HTC intros a 6.5" Phablet!

I think Apple iPhone users will be happy just to get a larger phone but the ones who have used the 5" phones for some time now; have gone on to bigger and better phones. This means that Apple needs to become competitive with those customers who are currently on Android to try to win them back to becoming iPhone customers again. This would nearly impossible to do if you have a 5.5" iPhone were the Android market has 6.5" model!

If the rumors are anything to go by, the iBezel 6 is likely to be physically bigger than the Galaxy S-series, despite the smaller screen.

I read an article that said the larger screen iPhone 6 probably won't be too popular among consumers. They're going to be pushing the 4.7 and it will be more popular. But after seeing the LG G3's larger screen that actually has a larger display ratio I'm tempted to get a larger screen but I don't know how it would feel in my hands.
