Are you going to put your iPhone 4 in a case?

Case and screen protector, I let my 17-month old daughter play with my current 3G(with a case) and she drops it on the tile at least 5 times a day, the phone and case have held up fine. Even if the glass is stronger I'm still playing it safe.

I really do not want to put the iPhone 4 in a case, but I feel that I should considering that my original iPhone and iPhone 3G screens both cracked. I dropped the first iPhone, but to be fair, I never dropped my 3G. I fell down and had my phone in my hand and I of course extended my hand to break my fall, so the phone shattered.

I just very much like the design of the phone and would rather enjoy that than have it in a bulky case that hides the device. I'm considering just getting insurance from those 3rd party places.

I'm on the border about the "Bumper" I'll have to see it in person, but I was planning on just slappin' a BodyGuardz on the back / sides, and keeping the front naked.

Nope. The last thing I want to do is cover up the phone in cheap Chinese plastic, faux leather, rubber, etc. I'm not a clutz, so if the iPhone 4's glass is like the glass on my 3GS I'll be going naked all the way. Don't care about scratches honestly. The screen is resiliant as hell!

Apple made this phone thinner....so I could put it in a bulkier case?? LOL!!!!

Just like the 2G and 3GS before it, I'll keep my protected in my pocket in a pouch-style leather case from either Vaja or Beyza... likely whichever releases one first. Protected in my pocket, and nude when I want to use it.

I've never been a big fan of buying a slim/stylish phone and then encasing it in something made of rubber or plastic.

This costs to much not to protect. I'll be throwing it in a Belkin Grip Vue and power support screen protector, just like my iPad. I'm putting the Grip Vue more for the fantastic grip than the protection, but hey it can't hurt. it's still clear!

I've never had a case on any iPhone since launch but I do plan to get the bumper with both sides glass, along with a wrapsol skin

coz I'm a fashion girl I'll buy a bumper with the iPhone...still not sure what colour...^__^

i might buy a bumper so when i lay it down the screen wont be in direct contact with the table or where ever i lay it down other than that i probably wouldn't get anything else.

I never understood why people buy cases for their iPhone's, iPod's or cellphone or any other electronic device. They make the product with a sexy slim glass and metallic cover not to be hidden..

If it breaks it breaks it breaks. Who cares? Just take good care of it.

I agree but some people like to "personalize" their devices so they can be almost "unique"...I guess it's just human...

I will most likely put it in a case if I get one. No screen protector this time around. Just a case if anything.

But the phone is too gorgeous to be put in a case...

after looking at the hands-on photos from engadget i think i'll end up getting a white iphone with a black bumper... (and of course, if i feel the case isnt needed i'll just not use it.. (i have a white iphone now with one of the Threadless designed covers from Griffin. It's not really a case as much as a decorated back cover... (if the back of my iphone [near the usb port] wasnt cracking i wouldnt be using a case at all)

EDIT:

I know for a fact i'm getting a clear cover for the back glass

all these cases are in Preorder. Anyone know of a seller who will ship before the new iPhone is released so I can guarantee that I'll have a case as soon as I open the package?

I agree with personalization, but most of the time people buy cases to 'protect' their phone/electronic devices. The only thing I've done to my iPhone is put a sticker on the back cover, which I know I won't be doing with the iPhone 4. That device is toooooooooo hot to be covered up.

Maybe it's just me, but I rather not cover up my sexy $200+ dollar device with some cheap plastic.

Agreed, this test was practically meaningless. That said, I'm not sure if I will get a case for my iPhone. I'll wait and see.

so the ina-ards are going to take the shock? **** that man the more weight to the item the faster it will drop and have more impact.

dont they teach you anything in school ?

more mass = more force = more broken glass

I'm thinking about a bumper...maybe I'll buy several so I can change them accordingly to my mood...

blue: crazy-girl shopping mode on
pink: ladies' night

and go on..

XD
