Are you going to put your iPhone 4 in a case?

ive had great success with a Seidio innocase 2 for my 3d and will be looking for products from them for my iphone 4.

Option A:

A case (maybe just a bumper) and protective, anti-glare screen.

Reason:
It's a pretty phone and I wish it was indestructable and inexpensive, but I like what it does more than what the edge or back looks like when your hand(s) isn't covering it, or it isn't in your pocket. At some point, just like the 3Gs, it'll be worth something to someone else when Apple comes up with another reason to shake $200 or $300 from me.

Option B:

Leave it in the box and use my 3Gs as a remote to access the i4.

Reason:
The i4 retains it's beauty and, being in "mint" condition, is in no danger of "injury".

I never understood why people buy cases for their iPhone's, iPod's or cellphone or any other electronic device. They make the product with a sexy slim glass and metallic cover not to be hidden..

If it breaks it breaks it breaks. Who cares? Just take good care of it.

I always get Vaja cases. Can't wait for a new one (hopefully they make a great looking retro slim case).

As I've said before, I like my iPhone like I like my women. ;)

Well played sir, well played.

On topic- I voted yes because I plan to pick up one of those bumper cases. I like the idea of the bumper since it will still show off the sleek look of the iPhone while offering some level of drop protection (hopefully). I figure it's the best of both worlds.

I've tried cases.... but I just can't leave it on the phone! Every iPhone has been beautiful, how can you cover that up?!?! That being said the only case I've ever used is the incase sliders. They're are the only cases that match the design quality of the actual product (and the logo is well done and not intrusive).

The only other "case" I've had is a slip sleeve form a company called MAKR. Their products are all hand crafted and hand stitched high quality leather goods. I'm a sucker for good design but man this thing has been the ONLY good case I've ever owned. And it's just as beautiful as the iPhone. My friends have gone through 3 or 4 cases and spent more than in that time than what I spent on this case. This is the only sleeve I need. It provides the right protection and I can enjoy the design of the iPhone. I hope they make one for iPhone 4 :)

so the ina-ards are going to take the shock? **** that man the more weight to the item the faster it will drop and have more impact.

dont they teach you anything in school ?

Did you even read the original article from this website? Go ahead and read how they even broke the glass. Its not like it was a simple drop and boom broken glass. They dropped it multiple times flat on it's face from about 4 feet up onto concrete. They could only get it to break on concrete when doing the test like that. The author comments on his article in the comments thread towards the bottom because of how much he gets bashed for it.

I used to be a huge fan of gizmodo but ever since they bought that stolen iPhone and were not invited to wwdc they have been really going after Apple and this article shows it again.

I'll try a bumper to see if it adds a little more grip to it. It will give it a little bit of protection as well.

Going naked. Some grippy stuff on the back might not be bad. It's hard to say until I get it though.

However I do travel a lot by motorcycle and I would like a slim case to slide it into that doesn't look like a cigarette pack holder?

I've already ordered a TPU case on eBay from one of the HK knockoff sellers. It should be here by the time the iP4 launches. $3 or something like that. I'll order a $2 screen protector soon too and I'll be set.

I had a Vaja case for my iPod, and in the end I ended up being just as worried about protecting the case as I was about protecting the device inside it. Covering hundreds of dollars in tech with hundreds of dollars in butter-soft imported leather expressly for protection of the former did not make sense for me in the end. But damn, that was a sexy case. :p

Eventually I replaced the Vaja with a JamJacket. Far less interesting (or impressive,) but way less delicate, and a lot less bulky.

I got my slip case for about $60. It's expensive, but people can tell it's quality when you pull it out of your pocket. Besides, it's just a drop in the bucket when you compare it to monthly fees. :)

No case no way

Come on think ! You wouldn't drop a baby would you? Ok, then suck it up and hang on to your apples! Just be careful and enjoy !
