Yeah maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but try putting a 4.5 or 5 inch device in your pocket.

I have been carrying the 6" Lumia 1520 in my pockets for quite some time, so I really don't know what your problem is...

Silly - maybe. I'm not stupid - so get over yourself.

There's no reason Apple can't put a 4.5" or close screen on an iPhone 5 sized phone. Making it impossible to notice a difference in your pocket.

If Motorola can do it surely Apple can?

Fair point. If that happened who knows - maybe an upgrade might be in store. But if the past is any indicator of the future, that won't happen.

I agree lol. Nice to dream though.

When the 5 came out I thought they were going to put a 4" screen on a 4/4S size phone. I'm still on my 4S from disappointment of them making the phone bigger as the size of the screen.

The Galaxy line up for example. The S4 got a bigger screen then the S3. However the S4 is a smaller phone then the S3. That's the kind of thinking I'd expect from Apple.

Absolutely. The 6 is probably the iPhone that a lot of people have been waiting for. And by that I just mean to say a big screened iPhone. I'll definitely be jumping on that bandwagon. Now hopefully it's not 5" or higher - that'll be a definite hit to one handed usability. but, as long as they keep it in the 4.5 - 4.7 range, I'll be happy.

I will upgrade regardless because I have an upgrade available and my wife needs a new phone (so she will get my 5S).

If I didn't have an upgrade available or had to pay full retail then probably no. 0.3 inches more screen is not worth paying full retail for, especially if the 5S and 6 are otherwise the same.

Yes. And 90% (or more) of the people saying "no" now will change their minds when the hype starts after introduction.

I'm sure there will be people who can't afford it, or really don't want to, but based on the number of 5S's sold (objectively the "most insignificant" of all of the "upgrades" so far) it won't be many.

So talk a big game now, but we all know that nearly everyone will upgrade anyway. It's just the way consumer electronics usually work.

If it's not the latest and greatest (from Apple), then I sell it and get what is. I am in the VAST majority. I'd get a new one every month if they produced it :D

Yep I have gotten each iPhone since the iPhone 4 no need to stop now - I am hoping the screen size isn't increased too much - my iPhone 5s is perfect

I'm extremely happy with my 5s and don't plan to break the contract.

I'm on the fence if I want a larger phone. I like that the 5s can easily slip in my pocket and when I upgrade if they offered the same size I might opt for that instead of a larger one.

People may not be as weak willed as you think. Lots of people are still using the the 4 and 4s. Until 2 months ago, I was using the 3Gs. Believe it or not, lots of people can resist the urge to get the shiniest new phone.

Will definitely upgrade.

I have the iPhone 5, and skipped the 5s. I'll likely upgrade to 5s to T-Mobile via their Uncarrier program, then selling the 5s for the 6 upgrade.

No. I purchased a lifeproof for my 5S. Specifically because although I'm careful I want to go above and beyond to ensure this lasts 2yrs.

I usually upgrade every year. I really doubt it this time.

I doubt the 6 will have the same design as the 5/5S. They have changed it on every number release, and either tweaked the S designs or kept them the same. I'll probably stick with my 5S, and just wait and get the 6S once they work all the kinks out.

For most people, I would think that whether we update depends on the new hardware and design of the iPhone 6
Hard to say at this point in time. But if the iPhone 6 is good the masses will flock to it. And if its great, it will be sold out for months.

I wasn't planing on upgrading from 5 to 5S, but came across 64gb for an amazing price, so I did upgrade, touch Id/ camera :)
If screen is bigger Most likely Yes,
If screen same probably Not.
