Yes I got that, I actually referred to that in my post:
"I also seriously doubt el capitan is a "vast" improvementover yosemite, I read the el capitan forum regularly. Just pointing out, people that use terms like that constantly are usually compensating for some doubt."
Just making an observation and while I truly hope it is a "vast" improvement I doubt it has improved enough to come close to windows. Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 are all faster than osx. Like I said, for now I am going to stay with osx and will be upgrading to el cap when it comes out I figure it still has a way to go to catch up and hopefully 10 will light a fire under apple.
I'm not trying to insult you, but it's normal for someone that switches to try and justify it. I switched also and everything I own is apple, but I am not a brand loyalist. I think ios was a good switch, have an iphone and ipad, the atv does everything I want in that regards but osx I am not so sure about....at least up to this point. I am not going to be hasty though until at least el cap is released.
I also was a long time windows user, started with dos on to windows and built a ton of computers. Yosemite has been unstable and more buggy than anything I ran since windows 98. Apple is a hardware company, they need to concentrate some more on the software.
I will say I have not had near as many problems with ios as osx, just in the earliest versions. I think the best thing apple could do is go to a 2 year release, it seems they are releasing beta's as the final release. Bad beta's in the area of yosemite. Since el capitan is just a facelift it should be better, the next release will be buggy though. That's how it has been for a while. Release a completely new, buggy version, then release a facelift version a year later. Then do it again.
It's mostly our fault though, for accepting anything they put out. I'm curious if windows 10 will do anything to change that.
