Let us know how you got on with it @it wasnt me ! OH and don't forget full tasting notes and photos.
I most certainly will. I need quite some more equipment though. I hope I’ll have my first batch done by October.

Not necessarily: However, I will read your account of the brewing with interest. So, now you want a chicken beer as well?![]()
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but, as it happens, I had actually opened a bottle from my own stash, the legendary, classic, Hefe Weissbier, from Weihenstephaner before I came across your post.First, I'll have a drink. Schneider, one of my favourite wheat beer producers, recently launched a cloudy Hefeweizen, which is supposed to be a "modern variation" of their classic Hefeweizen "TAP 01". That's a bit of a shame, as "TAP 01" (it used to have a different name) was my very first wheat beer in 2002 (or was it 2003?). The "new" version is yeasty with banana, but I also find prunes in the flavour. The nose is somehow uneven. I'm disappointed.

The Weihenstephaner Dunkel?I have a Weihenstephaner Dunkel from the same shop, which I consider to drink tomorrow or after this one. Not sure yet!
For, lamentably, it seems that I am down to my very last one.......
Sounds like a good plan; I have (had?) six bottles of Weihenstephaner Original Helles, and one of Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel. So am I. So I'll probably keep the Weihenstephaner for tomorrow.
Hm.It will be my first time.
Is that a fact? Or, merely an opinion? It’s your fault. 😂
