Wow, it is a small world...

When I was in High School (98-02) I worked out at the Pool (MASA) in Marathon. It's one thing to see Wausau folk here, but much more surprising to see folks from Marathon here!

Sadly, we probably all know each other, at least indirectly... heh.

I wouldn't call it sad, it's just another shred of proof for how rediculously small this world can be! ;)

Count me in. I am in Milwaukee going to school at MCW. I just got my first Apple 3 weeks ago after spending about 4 months reading MacRumors. I love it! Take care all.
Are you in the graduate school at MCW or the medical school? I worked in Dr. Jacob's genetics lab last summer on the fifth floor of the new building.

standing to be counted

lifetime Madisonian (so far), lifetime Mac user (since 1985). been only to one Mad Mac meeting. graduated UW-Mad(ness) with a BS in Art. yes i do remember the days when The Onion was a local rag and Paul Soglin wasn't all puffy. hello all.

Count me in! I'm up in good ol' Oshkoh B'Gosh! :)

Any G5 owners here? You're welcome to come join us even if you're not -- yet! G5 iMacs and PowerBooks are coming! :)

Another WI member here....

Originally from Texas, then moved to Chicago for 8 years, and I've been living here in New Berlin (suburb of Milwaukee) for the past 8 years. Next year I'm attending UWMilwaukee and am stayin in Sandburg halls (West Tower). Kindof odd to see so many people from Wisconsin in here.... small world I suppose. I also got a mac friend who lives here, but doesnt post on these forums, I believe he's doing tech support @ UWMadison next year.

Again, welcome all WI MR Members! I just wanted to let you know that I hope to keep this list active as long as possible.

Im in green bay right now, but will be moving to school in milwaukee at the end of this month

I'm a "damned  suburbanite" -- as Henry Meier, waaaay too long mayor of Milwaukee -- once called people who didn't bother to live in the BigCity.

Which one? Let's just say the North Shore region, and be done with it.

Count me in. I'm from Ironwood, MI, but who cares. Most people who live in WI think the U.P. is a part of Wisconsin anyhow. Just across the river from Hurley on beautiful US 51.
No Apple Store within 250 miles from us, no shopping at all to speak of. The end of the earth.

another one....

Add me into this also, I'm from Beloit (hold up your right hand with your thumb out, and go to your wrist, right in the middle :D :D )

I knew I saw this thread, then kinda forgot about it.....imagine that....me forget!! ;)

Alright, I currently reside in Sturgeon Bay, moving up from Green Bay & born in Sheboygan so a life long Wisconsinite not counting those 8 days I lived in Texas (yes lived, got new driver's license, blah blah blah)

So, hello from beautiful Door County.

Nice Welcome

Hey, thanks for the welcome!

So I miss Texas, but I'm starting to get more familiar with Madison now. :D We didn't get here until August so we've been busy getting settled in.

Went to the Mac store on Michigan ave last weekend to satiate my fanatacism of macs and see the new G5 iMac. Back in Texas there were two stores close-by - sigh. Chicago's very nice!

I'd love to find an iPod D.J. club in Madison. Anybody know of such a thing?

Josh

p.s. Not so much looking forward to winter, but have really enjoyed the terrace and the mild end of summer.

Don't know if I qualify.

Spent the first 18 years of my life growing up in the Villiage of Marthon City (official title), a small town about 12 miles west of Wausau (you can classify me as Wausau if you deem me worthy). Spent ~4 years in the UP for college with an 8 month break in MN for a Co-op job. Now I live in the Dallas, TX area. My wife won't let us move back (her family is down here) but I do visit 2-4 times a year and the only Mac I currently own makes it's home there (a 5+ year old Radius 81/110 clone). Soon I will be receiving my 15" PowerBook and 4G iPod to get myself more up to date and back on Mac.

Forever a Packer fan and I actually own a cheesehead.

Eat some amazing mexican food for me will ya?

Ever heard of Ojeda's on Maple? We once went there weekly. Still looking for good stuff here in Madison!!

Its been a while since a post.
Representing from Ray-town Racine, WI, also.
You know it well, the quiant little Johnson Wax town... with the school district currently ripping the schools budgets apart.

Fun times to be had for all.

Yeah, school budgeting is really dumb. Don't even get me started on that. . . ;) ;)
