I've got everyone up to now added. Sorry it took me so long folks! I've been busy with school.

Any more WI lurkers?
Has this listing lead to anything of note? Meet-ups, friendships, etc? Just curious. :)

Hope everyone is doing well.

Actually Toppa Gs saw my post here and invited me to join SMUG, the Stout Mac User Group, of which he is president. Of course I went and joined.

That's actually pretty awesome. What kinds of things do you all cover at your SMUG meetings?

(longshot) Anyone know Drew H. there at Stout? He's from Racine as well, and I haven't gotten in touch with him since high school!

We mostly just talk about anything new in the Mac world. Last meeting was about Tiger obviously. We talk about anything else as well, cause there isn't always something major going on with Apple. Besides, there are only like 5 members, most of which don't show up every single week. Its good stuff though.

I am indeed, why do you ask?

I am also a Graphic Design major. When I was applying for undergrad schools, Stout was one of my top 2 choices. Though, the year that I would have been an incoming freshman, was the first year of the "Laptop Learning Initiative" and they weren't able to give me a solid number for tuition and fees before the deadline for registration. Even though I had been accepted into the program, I felt that UW-Stevens Point had a lot more to offer for me.

I feel I've made the right choice. But how is the program there for you?

Well, I'm only a freshman, so I haven't taken any GD classes yet, still in Design, Drawing, Art History, you know, the basic stuff. I must say that I do thoroughly enjoy it here though. And I plan on graduating from Stout. It's too bad you didn't get in on the laptop program. I've got my desktop here too, but having a laptop is great. And for the people without desktops I'm sure these things make life a ton easier.

It's not that I didn't *get* to, it's that I didn't *want* to. It's significantly more expensive than UWSP. Cost was a major concern for me, and I simply couldn't afford that much more.

(Of course, I have feelings about the quality of the programs, but it's not the point) ;)

I wish you good luck in the program. UWSP's program is structured very similarly, so I know exactly what you're going through!

Just to keep things updated (even thought I post more on the Scionlife site than on here): I'm moving to Bayview! I'll be living down the street from Hifi Cafe as of May 1st. Does this make me part of the Milwaukee clique now? lol

Yea, the cost is kinda stupid. It's required, but we have to pay $500 more a semester... kinda lame. Oh well.

Thanks, and good luck to you as well.

Wow, this is wierd, finding people from Merrill and Marathon of all places. Too freaky. Anyways, grew up in Wausau (DCE) then to Mequon, and now at school in Madison. Ha, and I worked at Marathon Cheese, 3rd and 1st shift. How's that for classic.

Ok, its May 1st, and its snowing in Madison, WI. Thats wrong. Sick and wrong!

Naw, man, last year it snowed here in Madison on May 2nd! So I guess it's just normal Wisconsin. :D

While this thread is up again, I would like to promote myself from honorary citizen to full citizen. I'm from Beloit (it's at the Southern edge).

And just wondering, are there any past delegates of Badger Boys State from you all? Just got back from it this past week and I had a blast.

Greetings gang, I am visiting the Cheese state while our jet is in maintenance at Gulfstream in lovely Appleton. Nice weather today, but I do miss home (NC).

I attended Badger Boys State in 2002. What city were you from?

Everyone has been added, I believe.

This most recent bit brings WI MR Members to a total of 54! That's about 0.01% of the total MR Membership (active and inactive), way to represent!

As soon as Doctor Q comes out with the new membership stats, I'll post to show what percentage we are of the *active* membership.

Thanks for playing!

Well, i dont know how "Active" ive been of late on MR, but you can definitely count me in!

Grew up in Wausau for 10 years (West Hi), came from inner city minneapolis before that (yeah, HUGE change), now ive been in Madison for 2 years, and will hopefully be out of here by spring semester heading for art/photo school, most likely back in the twin cities.

Cheers to all!
