With Android 5.0 Lollipop looking so good, where does iOS go from here?

What's sad is that Google apps look and perform better on iPhone than they do on Android.

Well I like to use google apps over Apple apps on my iPhone for sure. I'm not sure they are necessarily better than the ones on android. Hangouts was better for a while because iOS had VoIP calling well before android users. Google maps was better than android for a while because it had the latest UI update before android. Now both Google map apps look roughly the same. iOS has the material UI on its Google maps app just like android. iOS also have it on the inbox app too. However, all the other Google apps look better on android 5.0 because they have the material design update and apple's do not.

Not really. I don't care about whatever fruity design they put into an app; it's pretty laggy on my Note 4. Google appears to have found a way to maintain 60FPS on iPhone but apparently they forgot how to optimize when they were making it for Android.

This translates to pretty much all the other apps like Maps (20FPS map panning on a 2.7GHz Quad Core? Please.) and Play Music (everything hesitates and framedrop galore).

I'm sorry but to all these people talking about how Android has matured into something so nice and smooth...I don't know what you're talking about because I have with me the best of the best in terms of hardware and Android is still a total dog on it, not too different from how Gingerbread behaved on my old Nexus S.

if your note4 is very laggy than you should take it back. there maybe a problem with it. just about all the flagship phones out to date run smooth. take a look at a ton a youtube videos and will see they are run about the same now. maybe back in day android was a bit laggy but thoes day are gone. tho they "all" suffer from lag at 1 point. yes even your iphone6 has lag. tho usually the apple fans will not call it lag but call it animation lol yea right lag is lag no matter what you call it.

I agree that iPhone is still the better experience when compared to android. I have a Nexus 6 and sometimes I'll exit an app only for my home screen icons to lag a few seconds before they appear. This never happens on iPhone, if you exit to the home screen then icons will appear immediately when you get there. iOS is just snappier in most places where android lags. But I'll admit android is much snappier than its gingerbread days.
