yeah that family tier exists only to prompt people in to buying above it. And this whole thing yet again makes me livid that a company that I think is terrific at solving problems refuses to solve a problem that has existed for 15 years? MERGING APPLE ID'S.

But 4TB option is pretty awesome.

Honestly, what do you do with that much space?
My entire Harddrive, in the cloud. Will never lose anything. Plus 3 other family members. We are using ~600Gb of 2Tb currently, Just my icloud storage and family music alone was $26 so the family plan is really a steal to get tv, fitness, arcade, news, etc.

I bought a 128GB iPhone XR two years a go, my current usage is 30Gb, 20 of those iCloud, whats the market bracket for 4Tb iCloud storage, what are these people’s lifes like, I might fill an extra gb tops? making a chronicle about modern use cases

I was currently paying for Music, iCloud storage 2TB, and Arcade (all on family plan)

I subscribed to One Premium, and it has first month free, so first time it'll charge me is Nov 30.

I look at my subscriptions, and it shows Music and Arcade being taken over by the One subscription.

But the original 2TB iCloud storage is still showing. So I have 4TB total (but not needed). I try to cancel the 2TB plan (or downgrade to 'none' as it shows) and nothing happens. My 2TB renews on the 2nd of the month, so come monday I'm going to get charged for it. Wonder how this will work. Maybe I still have to pay for it until the One free trial ends?

Hi all,

I’m confused: I’ve just paid for an apple one family plan (no premium here in France).

I share my 200go apple one storage with my family, but we need more (200go more would be great).

Apple tells you can add a 200go iCloud plan to your apple one storage plan, but I can only replace the apple one 200go, not stack the 2 plans (iCloud and apple one).

Any help ?

Thanks

Franck

The storage options are a joke, I was tempted thinking it might cost a couple of £ more than I pay now but would get Arcade and Apple TV+.

Now
£14.99 Apple Music family
£6.99 2TB iCloud (450GB used)
£21.98

With Apple One

£19.95 AppleOne Family
£6.99 2TB iCloud
£26.94

Whilst this is a saving if you already subscribed to arcade/TV+ it isn’t otherwise. The issue I see is the storage, 200GB (included) isn’t enough for a family and 2TB (£6.99) is far too much, 1TB for £3.49 and they’d have me.

Family plan for a family of six. Especially when you have kids.

I currently pay for family music, news and Apple TV+. Well tv is free till February. Plus the 200gb for iCloud. Do I cancel all those services prior to signing up, or just sign up for premier and it will overtake everything else. From this thread I am gathering I only need to drop the storage. Any insights before I click the button?

This is great, but why no plan for us, people who only listen to music and need more space in iCloud. I don't play games or watch Apple TV 🤷🏽‍♂️ They have to think about it ...

You can still just get those separately...or are you saying you want some sort of discount for subscribing to more than one?

And if it launched this morning, why am I not seeing it anywhere? I missed something....

You found a button? I can't even find the button to click.

I wish Apple didn't hold 2TB storage as an upsell opportunity.

If I choose Apple One Individual, I would need to pay $24.94 total for 2.05TB. At that point, Apple Watch users might as well pay $5.01 extra and also get Apple Fitness+, Apple Music Family, and Apple News+ (minus 50GB).

Apple One Family with 2TB (technically 2.2TB) costs only $0.01 less than Apple One Premier (minus 200GB).

What I really want is $15.95 Apple One tier with 2TB and iTunes Match (should be renamed to iCloud Music) instead of Apple Music and 50GB. This would also work well for Verizon customers with complementary Apple Music Individual.

Does anyone know the answer to this? If I purchase the cheaper AppleOne, can I add 2tb storage to it? If so, then it's $25/month for the services I want. I'm not interested in fitness or news.
