None of these plans are worth it for me. All I have now is Apple Music and 2TB iCloud storage, and that's all I need. None of these plans make sense for most people cost wise.
Apples business model. Too little or too much so you have to pay for more than what you need. There's no middle....EVER!200GB is too small for the 'family tier' - should be 1TB, which should be a tier (too big of a jump from 200GB to 2GB)
I'm not sure if I understand? If space is shared. So it would be either 2TB or 4TB shared, so it just depends on how much you use. Or do you mean you want to be able to allocate/limit each member's usage?I wish there were a way to allocate so much space to each member
But how do you add additional icloud to it? It doesn't let me stack, it only lets me replace itHere was my scenario and how I "fixed it." Hope it helps someone...
I have 4 family members on a 2TB iCloud plan, with a total of 5 Apple ID's... everyone has their own personal ID, plus I have an ID that is just used for the media/store purchases of all the accounts. I upgraded to Apple One Premium and all of my Apple services like TV and Arcade properly show they will be replaced by Apple One... HOWEVER I now had TWO separate 2TB iCloud packages, one from Apple One and the other attached to my personal Apple ID (but used by everyone.) I got no warning about this and only noticed when I saw my $9.99 2TB iCloud plan was going to renew in 3 days.
Sooo... what I discovered is the Apple One plan, including the its 2TB family data package was assigned to my media/store account as that is how everything is billed for the entire family. However for whatever reason my old 2TB iCloud plan was assigned to my personal apple ID. The way this was fixed was I went to settings -> my name -> subscriptions and selected "Apple One". Then I chose "Manage iCloud Storage Accounts" and it gave me the option to assign the storage to any of the entire family's IDs including my personal one. I assigned it to my personal ID and then I checked if my $9.99 iCloud 2TB plan was still there but it said "canceled" and "assigned to Apple One" now. No data was ever lost and the entire family remains covered.
If I wasn't the type to snoop around after the Apple One update I would have never seen this and who knows how long until I noticed I was getting charged any extra $9.99 a month...
I reply to myself: another user was in touch with Apple and was told that it's provided a refund for the unused portion of any subscription in the Apple One plan.Waiting to figure out how these bundles work with current annual Apple Music subscriptions.
Yes, I meant that I want Apple Music and iCloud in a package, I don't get paid for two more services that I don't use...You can still just get those separately...or are you saying you want some sort of discount for subscribing to more than one?
And if it launched this morning, why am I not seeing it anywhere? I missed something....
I’d like to know this tooSorry if I missed it within the many comments, but is there a discount or consideration if you’re getting a free 12 months of AppleTV+ and/or 3 free months of AppleArcade? For me it seems otherwise it’s best to hold tight until my free trials expire.
What happens if you pre-paid a year of Apple Music?
Honestly, what do you do with that much space
I have seen others getting refunds. You “lose” it as billing starts immediately. You’re basically paying twice for Apple Music at that point. As such I wouldn’t subscribe to One while still on the yearly plan.
