Cheers to Apple for making the iCloud storage on Apple One additional to current iCloud storage plans. Another 50GB should hold me over for quite a while. I assumed I’d have to upgrade to 200GB of iCloud storage if I wanted additional storage alongside Apple One.

I'll pass until they offer a family ”bundle build to” that I can swap Arcade for News and with at least 1TB at $20.

Okay excuse my ignorance but what are the sys requirements for Apple One? I'm not seeing it as being available.

I went with the premier plan as I had all but arcade. I will get some back for my iCloud storage as that goes up and I will get prorated refunds for music and news next month

At first I was skeptical on the bundle, however I think I will give the Premier a try, it works for me. Also, the way Apple has dealt with other subscriptions and refunds is rather user friendly.

I thought this was a good price till i realised it was US Dollar. So not financially worth it for Aussies.

The value is there if you use the services. The big three for me, Music, News+, Storage. For about 5 bucks more, get Arcade, Apple TV+ and Apple Fitness. No brainer by adding family, game over. Thank you Apple. 🙌

Yes. 2TB storage can be added to any Apple One tiers.

For $5.01 more, upgrading to Apple One Premier adds Apple Fitness+ (potentially great for Apple Watch users) and Apple News+ (meh in current form). I would be interested in Apple News+ if I can get "Sign in with Apple ID" that bypasses website's paywall.
Thank you! I'm not into fitness or news atm. I'm barely into TV+ but for $5 more than I'm paying to get TV+ and arcade like a good deal.

Enthusiastic user decides to sign up for all the goodies in Apple One and over the course of a year, slowly fills up his iCloud storage to 3.5 TB

A year later, unenthusiastic user decides to cancel Apple One services but is locked in because he's unwilling to downgrade to 2 TB of icloud storage .
Watch Out! The 4 TB iCloud storage is a trap!

I like traps.

My family uses less than 50GB so far but we pay for 2TB just to get the HomeKit secure camera support for the two cameras we have. Hoping that will be included with the family plan as default 😂

Did you try this yet? I’m “stuck” at just a single HSV camera, because I’m not interested/needing 2TB of storage.

Lost on how to do this. So I had a 200GB iCloud storage plan. I upgraded to Apple One Family, which includes 200GB. Now I have 400GB, so I want to cancel my "other" 200GB plan, but it doesn't seem to allow me to do that. Any ideas?
Just cancel it, although it will show you ”still” have 400GB, until your paid month of Family starts.

Anyone know if there's a student discount on Apple One prices? If not, maybe best to stick with my current plans

Doubtful if they will offer that discount right away.

But sometime down the line, I think it's a possibility. After all, other similar services like Amazon Prime offer discounted rates for students. So yes, I think Apple should offer a student discount.... it would expand their subscriber base significantly.

Mugs. External hard disc. iPod Classic. iPad and a cable. Internet-free music, movies, docs. All mine, untracked and untraced. Subscription? Paying to access stuff you already own? Mugs.

Can we manage iCloud Storage individually? Let's say I'm buying 200GB for Family Sharing, then I'd like to allocate 75GB for me, then 50GB for the wife, and the rest for the children. Or 200GB is available for all?

Apple One is definitely tempting for the price, but it's alarming that Apple's Cloud is still very immature after all these years. I and people around me have had countless problems with it over the years, even with the latest hardware and software. Would never be able to recommend this to a business.

Dropbox, on the other hand, is only a solution to files management, but I've been using it since the last 10 years and I don't remember having a single problem with it even in its early stages.

But there's no need for Apple to push iCloud storage. They need to push TV+ that's why it's included
What they should do is add 5GB to your account every time you activate a new Apple device. See this as a loyalty incentive and a little thank you from Apple.

yeah that family tier exists only to prompt people in to buying above it. And this whole thing yet again makes me livid that a company that I think is terrific at solving problems refuses to solve a problem that has existed for 15 years? MERGING APPLE ID'S.

Yes, I'm spending hours on the phone with Apple simply because of this two Apple ID issue. I have been around long enough that I have a non email apple id that has all my purchases associated with it. When iCloud came along it wasn't clear that it wasn't going to be the same (or at least I was confused) so I spawned another ID for that using email. Then for 15 years I've been in this purgatory with two ids. Now with Apple One it made it just that much more confusing because to get the storage space, you need to use the iCloud ID id not the media and purchase one. Confusing and would have been solved in they just allowed merging IDs!
