If there is a personal hotspot feature for IPad in iOS 5 then I will not jailbreak

Without that, I will not upgrade and wait for a JB for iOS 5 continuing to use MyWi

Yeah, all you have to do is move the apps from the first page to any of the other pages. It will then remain empty (although this only seems to work on the first home page and only if you do it on your device and not iTunes). I have done this on my fourth gen iPod touch so I can confirm it works. As for the Nuance thing, I think it'll be an IOS5 feature, and not limited by hardware (although Apple may choose not to support it on 3GS).

Wow, you just prevented me from jailbreaking my iPhone. All these years, and I had no idea that this was possible. Thank you sir.

This thread has showed me quite a few jailbreak tweaks I didn't know existed. Some of them are very intriguing.

Sure, no problem. Glad to help.

Absolutely. There are numerous reasons, but these are the most prominent for me:
  • biteSMS - Quick reply, contact photos, timestamps... all very basic stuff that should have been included in the stock Messaging app (the most stripped down messaging app I've ever seen).
  • SBSettings - Many reasons for this one, but to me the biggest one is to hide the icons for apps I will NEVER use (Stocks, Newsstand, Messaging since I have biteSMS, etc)... again, another very basic feature that is included in any operating system ever created. On my home screen(s), I only want to see icons of stuff I want to use.
  • LockInfo - Taskbar icons for notifications. Something that even the most basic phones have. My old Motorola RAZR had an icon to let me know I missed a call or text message. Why would such an advanced phone be missing such a basic feature?

Absolutely, positively, yes.

My iP4 is now so much better under 4.3.3 JB then anything I've ever owned.

So much I need that's not (yet) in iOS5 including the masterful SBSettings (and life saving SBSchedule) that I use dozens of times a day as I move from home to the motorcycle to the office, etc. One touch to turn on/off WiFi, Push, 3G, adjust brightness and volume, etc. is PRICELESS!

I theme the heck out of it too. Love being able to adjust lock screen and springboard to display useful info on the fly via widgets and lockinfo tweaks.

Infinite size folders, folder icons instead of thumbnails, tetherme, and on and on.

Also could not live without Activator, AnyRing, Calendar Colors, Weather Icon, Clock Icon, and voice activation (though that might be in iOS5).

As keen as I am to do my annual hardware refresh, I'll not touch iP5 or iOS5 unless and until an untethered JB exists for both.

I'm torn. Do I get the iP5 when it comes out before there is an untethered jailbreak or stick with my jailbroken 4... I'll probably get the 5 when it comes out and just get myself into a 12 step program to deal with the loss of the functionality for (hopefully) a short period of time.

I like Shrink, iBlacklist, Infinifolders, PkgBackup, Recent/CallLog Delete, Springtomize, SBSettings, MyWi (I have a 2GB plan and tether), LockInfo, Weather Icon & Activator

I just found a fantastic reason to jailbreak my future iPhone...

I just got done playing around with this theme. I have to say, wow. It really is the most incredible theme I have ever seen on an iOS device, massive props to the developer of it. However that being said, like with all these Dreamboard themes it isn't very practical when trying to use it in real life, it seems like a chore to use. It's fun to play around with for a couple of hours but after that I get tired of having to scroll through folders to try and find apps.

Once again, I don't want to demean the developers hard work. It's just the nature of these fancy Dreamboard themes, everything has to be tucked away in folders.

That looks toooo good!

I have been jailbroken for 2 years since owning a 3gs and then the iphone 4, bur yesterday had to restore and update to 4.3.5 as my home button is playing up, so have to keep it clean to take to the 'genius' bar.

And having ios4 stock really does suck, but I'm almost considering trying to get used to it as once the iphone 5 comes out we could be waiting a while for a jailbreak for it :(

Wow thanks for this, just never thought it would work, but sure enough it did. Will most likely JB for infini dock, SBS and Bite

I agree ^^

But all in all, I will jailbreak even if it's tethered. I had tethered the first couple betas and it was not as bad as I thought. Just waiting for ios 5 and the new phone :)
