iOS needs some form of split screen. I suspect Apple will eventually do it, and make it a plus/max size phone feature only. Might actually get me to purchase a big phone. With the exception of widgets on the home screen, iOS has felt pretty stagnant (to me) for the last few releases.

I think its time for a UI refresh, I have never been a fan of the flat aesthetic UI from iOS 7 onward. I preferred the 3D looking bubbly UI from iOS 6 and prior. Not to say the new UI should be like iOS 6, but I feel like the current UI can use a refresh/overhaul.

I want more customization options - iOS is great, don't get me wrong, but it feels a bit stale/dated to me as of late. I really like what Android did with their recent design update and how everything adapts and has lots of options. Apple could do something similar. On the iPad end, I want boot camp and I want them to stop limiting the OS.

More similarity between MacOS and the IOS. IPadOS.
Ability to move stuff on settings for instance so the ones you use are near the top and not buried. Ability to more easily delete stuff - for instance - I want to delete a whole month from health not just 1 at a time or all. Etc.

People would always defend the absence of this on iPhone saying the screen is too small or bad for battery life etc. But the feature is often useful even if you need to do something specific for several minutes. Of course it's not as practical on a small screen but there are still many use cases for short periods.

In no particular order:
- Always On Display
- Interactive widgets
- Wallpaper overhaul. Something like a new wallpaper a day (Pixel or Apple TV where new wallpapers get added)
- Dynamic Wallpaper - not live wallpapers per se but more that change throughout the day (Mac OS, iOS desert from day/night)
- Split screen - At least on Max devices.

I would like to see Siri completely optimized, so that the elderly, the disabled, and even young people with their hands full could totally benefit from it. Bring back the features that were taken away in iOS 15, make all Siri features dependable across all devices, and put Siri at the forefront of all new functions.

iPadOS is the one apple needs to focus on.

The iPad Pro combined with M1 with its 3 unique input ways (touch, pencil, keyboard) has a lot of untapped potential in terms of software.
if Apple focuses more on its OS and improves things like
- customisable home screen
- external display support
- file management improvements
- multitasking additions with horizontal splits and floating windows

… I’d love to see that

Snow Leopard stability
Homekit App revamp, especially camera recordings, home activity logging
Always On Display at least time
More iCloud space options
Batch photo editing and more advanced photo options
Bring app tabs back like Music we could customize Albums Artists Composers Songs etc.

  • Stability
  • Always on Display lock screen, requires iPhones with ProMotion OLED display for battery life
  • Focus mode enhancements, such as contact and app presets, allow all notifications (if alternate home screen layout is all you want)
  • Family Shared iCloud Photos Library
  • $4.99/month for each additional 1TB iCloud storage
  • Extensions for Mail
  • Redesigned Calendar app
  • Optimize Storage for Notes

An improved keyboard. An ability to customize that mostly-unused gray space at the bottom (to move it to the top, to add frequently-used emojis or symbols or some other customization). Potentially also a number row or numbers and some symbols available as a second option on the letter keys. The keyboard just seems so behind what’s available on Android right now and I can think of several ways it could be improved.
Number row pa-lease.
