It would be wicked if the new displays had HDMI so you can easily plug in other inputs and your computer (DVI-HDMI)! Or if the ACDs had a 20" HD version! And LED backlights is a MUST Steve promised that :p

I really hope we get some finer detail about how zfs and time machine are going to work during the conference. I'm running on creaky storage, holding off replacing it until I can figure out what's going to work best with Leopard.

What I want the most from WWDC:
Leopard details.

Whoo, so demanding.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, perhaps we will see a revision later this year when the new Xeon chipset is released :)

Which means now is the perfect time to upgrade the line... it gives them an excuse to sit the new chipset out because "Oh, we have just updated the line in the last 18 months".

I just am hoping to see the new features that lepoard has and see some new
cinema displays (at a little lower cost so I can get a 23")

3: ZFS

[...]

5: windows apps to run natively inside OS X, similar to new parallels (WordPerfect, anyone?:) )

These two have been fairly widely speculated upon (at least to the extent that Apple will announce the form Bootcamp will take in Leopard)... I think they should go on the list.

Another one that belongs on the list is the rumor of an iPhone SDK.

Come on mac pro video cards!

There was a rumor a few months ago about Apple planning on shiping H.264 encoder chips in all Macs. This would make video conferencing much better, and if Apple wants developers to integrate this into their applications, announcing it at WWDC makes some sense.

So while not a video card, it would be something exciting to see.

Another one that belongs on the list is the rumor of an iPhone SDK.

That is what I am waiting for. While iPhone might use OS X, its interactions are fairly different (i.e., no scroll bars) than a typical application.

I would love to have an iPhone without the phone part. It could be called the Apple ultra portable, or whatever. If it has WiFi (and VOIP) and I can install my own applications on it. I am there!

*yawn* if nothing new is released, I really couldn't care. Leopard is really cool and all but unless these 'secret' features change the way I go about my day to day computing business, it's not really all that big personally.

A new smaller laptop would be awesome since I am holding out anyway on buying a laptop till I get a bit more $.

I have no expectations for WWDC, so I shouldn't be terribly disappointed.:D

New displays would be nice, but I'm not in the market for anything Mac related.

So if Steve gets on stage, puts his hands together, and performs twinkle twinkle little star on a comb with wax paper on it. But His hands together once more, and walks off stage you won't be disappointed. :p

Finally ...

We will FINALLY get to see Leopard with most of it's features if not all. I can't wait. :D

One more thing...

What I would love to see in the WWDC Keynote.

"One More Thing" after all the leopard features are announced. Something along the lines of...

"How would you like a new computer to try out this new beta software on?"
New Mac:apple: Computer (Mac Tower)

That would be cool...:D

Is there a countdown of any sort? It's awkward with all this cross-time zone malarky.

secret features

i think we all need to be prepared to be disappointed about the secret features.

dont get me wrong, i want to see some amazing things heretofore unspoken of re leopard...

but...i am painfully reminded of the promised special ultracool dotmac only widgets that never ever came to fruition.

here's hoping im wrong.

How could anyone be disappointed with that. That's pretty much my fantasy keynote speech for any developers conference. And I've spent a lot of time envisiging my fantasy keynote speech for a developers conference.

I think Macrumors left out an important detail about the iMac...

It is true that ThinkSecret made an "update" saying it is possible that new iMacs may not arrive for a few weeks...

But ThinkSecret also still believes there will be an announcement this week concerning new iMacs. :D
