The main problem with the 6+ for me was the inability to keep apps and browser tabs in memory. The 6S+ doesn't have that problem at all. It is better than every phone on the market for keeping things in memory, other than perhaps the Nexus 6 and 6P.

Hmmmm you make here a very good point my friend. Are you serious about that the memory better is then the Nexus 6/6p?

I think that the 2GB RAM is not enough.. I mean that you see some stutter or some frame drop if you use 3D touch on a app/press. I was today in the apple store and was some testing on the demo phones 6s+. And in the settings it was all off. The settings to reduce and transparent settings. And if you press 3d touch on a app its frame drops. Compare to the 6s.

I hope this not a hardware issue.

The 6S has a comparatively tiny, low res display. The 6S+ is constantly downscaling to 1080p on a 5.5" display. Unfortunately whilst Apple continue to give both models the same CPU, GPU and RAM there is always going to be a performance difference between them.

Those complaining about fairly trivial frame rate animation drops here & there would have had a field day with the 6+ because that really was an underspecced dog. I hated mine. The 6S+ is an absolute beast next to that.

Here, this is what i mean my friend;

What do you think about this.

I know about it and it doesn't bother me. Like I said, I came from the 6+ and my new phone flies. RAM isn't the issue here.

Yeah, I have now the 6+ and yes... it doesnt keep anything in the memory. because of that lacks 1GB, True. I'm really dispointing with this and wanna get the 6s+ because of that. And you confirm that the 6s+ is rock solid. Thanks for confirming it.

But what you said above your comment that is downsampling.. I hope this is not a RAM issue's... What do you think?

And do you think its better then the newest Nexus 6p?

I would like to hear your comment about this.

I believe it's a coding or GPU issue, not RAM. However, it really is such a trivial thing that I don't consider it a problem. I mean, who cares that the 3D Touch animations are a little slower and less fluent? Other than that the phone flies. It never stutters, it keeps apps & tabs in memory and it never crashes. Browsing is super-fast. No issues.

Regarding the 6P, The 6S+ has better battery life, a better camera, looks better, and has iOS. If the price and having Android are your main concerns then the 6P is a great, if rather ugly phone.

Hmmmmm okay, you confines me to get the 6s+.

You have right, i'm also addicted to the 6+ so I'm getting the 6s+.

But now the next problem is.. Do i get the samsung chipset or the TMSC chipset? Wich one do you have my friend?

You can't choose the chip, it isn't detailed on the box. I have had both. I returned my first as it had a faulty home button. My latest has a Samsung chip. It is very fast, and gives good battery life. As good as my old 6+.

But don't you believe or scared that the TMSC is better then de Samsung? Does it yours (samsung) overheats? I mean does it gets really hot?

It doesn't overheat and feels no hotter than my previous phones. Sure I would rather have the TSMC if only because of this furore over it. There are apparently no negatives to owning a TSMC chipped phone. However, the Samsung is supposedly a bit faster. Really though, you're far more likely to get a Samsung chip as more phones have them.

I still wonder why my Amiga 1000 THIRTY YEARS AGO with a 0.033MHz processor and 0.000064GB of RAM could do perfectly smooth imperceptible scrolling at 60fps, and nothing on the market can do that today.

lol

I can only really agree with what's already been said.

The 6s performance wise is the biggest upgrade in a long time thanks to the RAM upgrade.

The last Ram upgrade came with the iPhone 5. Which I've had for the last three years (until two weeks ago when I got the 6s) and it's worked flawlessly for those three years with new iOS updates only bringing minimal lag.

I plan to keep the 6s for 2-3 years as I did the 5 and have zero reason to think the 6s won't perform just as well as the 5 did until then.

Sometimes it's not all about the specs, but more about how each performs. According to the testing that was done in this link, the iPhone 6S Plus outperformed the Nexus 6P even though it only has 2GB RAM. http://www.ubergizmo.com/products/lang/en_us/devices/iphone-6s-plus,nexus-6/

My GS4 had 2GB of RAM and couldn't even keep two apps in it without reloading one of them. My 6S can keep a game, multiple tabs open in chrome, youtube, app store, and google maps in the RAM at the same time before reloading the youtube app when I reopened it.

Do you really?

Hmm I see... I don't know, if I buying from the store in the Netherlands, do I get the Samsung one or the TMSMC? What do you think?

Well these are roughly your odds, might be different in the Netherlands:

Can you tell me why the 6s+ is better then the 6+? How can you see the Extra RAM really makes your day?

The extra RAM keeps my Safari tabs from refreshing so often and lets me return to apps sometimes hours later without them refreshing. It's a very noticeable improvement.

The 6S/6S Plus are very future proof due to major hardware updates. It's the 6 that I'm not sure will stand the test of time too well.

That was one of the major reasons I decided to move on from my 6, despite liking it a lot. I could already see where it was falling behind due to the RAM, and it's only been a year. The 6S wasn't enough of an upgrade for me, but the 6 to the 6S Plus seemed like a very respectable jump. I seriously plan to keep this phone for at least 2 years till the 7S Plus (but don't hold me to it!)

I'm hoping there's only one iPhone 7, screen of 5.2 inches. No bezel.

"It was earlier reported that the iPhone 7 may see the light of day in September next year but a reliable source told AppleInsider that the next-generation device could be launched early. The report went on to say that the same source had provided correct information about Apple's products in the past."

They always say the next generation of iPhones are going to come out early. Yet they still come out in mid to late September, lol.
