You know, reading this article kinda makes you feel like Steve told them long ago that they go up there, drop the numbers from the iPad, use the "great" word Resolutionary and paint the Apple Logo in weird colors. It even matches the "Ad" sign on the screen - and they simply stuck to it. :D

And by the way, if you really consider Resolutionary bad, then you should see, what they came up with in German: "Sehvolutionär", which equals to "Seevolutionary". ;) I can't remember, how they translated "Thinnovation" back in 2008, but I really don't wanna think about it.

But hey, by making people talk about it, they've already accomplished their mission. ;)

The premise of the question is rather silly b/c for all we know Steve did approve it. He hasn't be gone that long, and crafting a marketing and advertising campaign for a high profile product starts almost as soon as the product's development.

Also, Apple has been the purveyor of bad puns and neologisms for a while. It's practically its trademark approach to selling. For example, the MacBook Air was hailed as "Thinnovation." Here is some more AppleSpeak.

Steve was the same guy that wore the same stupid outfit all the time and described devices as "MAGICAL". So yeah, he would have lacked the taste and good sense to not use the idiotic "resolutionary".

Resolutionary was GOOOD dont know why ppl complaining about it.

Thinnovation is just retarded though.
