Who is "We"? If you're referring to yourself, let's be realistic.. Apple doesn't really care what you may want. People on this forum who complain about how the iPhone is too small are in the minority. We're (people on this forum) a very small percentage of people and Apple would never make any dramatic changes for such a small percentage of their sales. They look at the pros and cons of making a dramatic change like that and if they don't think it's necessary (Which let's be honest... it's not. Apple will still sell more iPhone 5's than they did iPhone 4/4S regardless if they change the screen size or not.)

I personally couldn't care if the screen size got bumped up. The phone sits in my pocket 70% of the time and when I am using it, it's perfectly fine the way it is. (Size wise)

What I'd really like to see is a better battery, and a more durable phone. I'm kinda over this all glass design.

I honestly think the majority of iPhone users want a bigger screen. Thats my stance. And I don't think the phone is too small, it's just wouldnt hurt to go bigger. This Forum may be a very small percentage of ios users, but at the end of the day, it's speaks to what others who are not on this forum may be thinking.

Bigger screen is the main thing for me but yes they need to add more otherwise people will just move to android.

The screen has stayed roughly the same size for several years now and iPhones are more popular than ever. A bigger screen would be nice, but it's hardly the determining factor to make people switch.

I would like a bigger screen, but more important is that the device doesn't get bigger. So I will be OK if the screen stayed the same size.

And I would be very disappointed, and surprised, if they did nothing else to the phone. There will almost certainly be spec upgrades, probably the addition of LTE, maybe NFC, hopefully a Magsafe connector. And hopefully a surprise.

Like I said, those of you that say the 4s isn't a sginificant upgrade are living in fantasy land.
It was the biggest jump in iPhone from year to year to date. So if it wasn't much of an upgrade then how can you say any of the others were good upgrades? OiPhone to 4s.... is that a big enough jump for you?

how was going from the 4- 4s bigger than going from 3gs to 4?

I love how my post (the first) got 4 downvotes.

You have to direct that question at those members who downvoted you, how about sending them a PM?

Oh wait... now I understand why the voting is anonymous. ;)

No? Evidenced by the hordes bitching about the 4S being an apparent minor update. I thought the 4S was selling well as usual?

Hordes complaining? Really? I posit the hordes are buying the phone and a small vocal group of folks are complaining.

You may move to another phone because screen size is important to you. Your opinion about others moving is not supported by the fact the iPhone is selling better than ever with the same size screen its had.

I really couldn't care less, especially since I no longer use an iPhone!

Believe it or not, many are moving because of the small screen size.

i went to an iphone from a blackberry from tmobile to verizon i love the screen size of the 4 and 4s as it fits my pocket of my carpenter pants perfect if they increase the screen size it makes it that much harder to get out of the pocket and all those apps have to rewritten to support the in crease i say leave it the same size screen

Don't know about iPhone users per se, but in general...

"Strategy Analytics has identified that smartphone owners want devices that have larger displays.

Almost 90% of existing smartphone owners chose a prototype smartphone with a display larger than their current device as their most preferred size. The sweet spot for these users is 4.0-inches to 4.5-inches, driven by increased web browsing and multimedia experiences.

As manufacturers drive smartphones with larger displays onto the market, they need to ensure that these devices remain thin, ‘pocketable’ or ‘pursable’ and have a high-resolution display to ensure high adoption."

For myself, 4" is too small now that I'm used to having a 4.65" on the Nexus. It also fits easily into any pocket, as it's slim and curved.

Simple answer is NO, I would not be to disappointed in a 4 inch screen with the same form factor, but it would be nice with a slight body change and LTE ;)

After having the Lumia 900 for 2 weeks now; being unable to type quickly and accurately with one hand, unable to reach all parts of the screen with one hand; I hope Apple at least gives us options when it comes on to screen sizes.

3.5" is perfect for my hand.

My stance is it sold as much as it did in spite of the small screen size.

Again, I'm waiting for so very much crow eating when we finally get a 4" iPhone.

I think the 3.5" size is perfect for a thumb to reach across the screen. Also it drives iPad adoption for people wanting a bigger screen.

Apple also doesn't want fragmentation, so expect the screen size to keep a resolution on the scale of the others.

I will be disappointed, if I can't use the new iPhone with 1 hand.

You can always go Android. That's a beauty of Android ecosystem - all imaginable phone sizes are available.

What happened to your second hand?

Yeah, and it's reflecting upon the abysmal sales numbe...WAAAAIT A MINUTE

You are of course correct about the sales.

But there might also be a sort of kinetic effect going on, with all the momentum in place.

If that is happening at all, I don't think it would happen again without a major update to the iPhone (perhaps even a bigger update than the 3GS to the 4). I think Apple will come through.
