I can't compare it to the 3GS, because I made the leap from the first gen to this one. But yes, I'd buy it again. Mine is a week 28 though, much later than many, and so far the only issue is the antenna. We're in a strong signal area, and I'm using a bumper, so it's a relative non issue.

The camera would probably be perfect for what she wants, and the quality on the video camera is superb for the type. I've never been a video person, but I suspect I'm about to become one!

Absolutely! I love this phone! But, I don't have any of the issues that other people have.

For everyone who said no... take it back. Its been 2 weeks, well within the 30 days. Problem solved. Your welcome.

As for me, abso-freaking-lutley. I plan on buying my son's momma one in the next couple of months. She bought me my 3G and introduced us both to the iPhone. What a great day that was.

I'd buy it again AND wait the 14 hours it took to get it... only I'd probably bring a chair the second time around.

Am I the only one that thinks Apples obsession with glass needs to end? Take it off the MBP's and iMacs and make it an option. Then they would see just how many people DONT want it. I would pay more for less glass.

I hear the I4 is great. I am still trying to get my hand on one personally. My family members say yes tho!

No I would not. It was my 3rd iphone, and my worst. I just dropped it off at the post office this morning, its going back and I am happily moving on. I hope they get it right, and at the same time bring it to a better wireless carrier. If so, I'll be back. I loved the hardware, but the problems outweighed the benefits.

First and foremost its a PHONE, and of all the amazing things that device did making calls was the thing it did worst. Thanks but no thanks.

Hmmmm... I would have thought that all the technology implemented into it would have made it better as a phone: Noise canceling technology and such.

While all those fancy technologies sound fantastic, they still require one basic element, a good signal, which I could never get (maintain?). Columbus Ohio is not the smallest market on the planet so I don't think my problem is "my area" but AT&T in general on top of the -wonderfully- designed antenna just made for poor quality calls or no calls at all.

Ifyou are in a decent AT&T service area by all means buy the phone. Despite all the reported problems it is a wonderful device.

Do I own one? Yes. Have I had the antenna issue? Yes -- by apples own admission all phones have some degree of antenna attenuation. Would I buy it again???? Yes, over and over if necessary! The screen is gorgeous, surfing is incredibly fast, and face time is a rare glimpse of the future.

The bumper fixed my antenna issue completely and I do not have yellow screen, proximity sensor problems, etc. I've also stopped reading the litany of complaints. That's the best advice I can give you, actually. Stop reading about the problems and just get one. I think your finance will be delighted.

Yes, I would buy it again. I think it's there best phone yet, I have zero problems!

I will say this about the Antenna problem, who buys a $600.00 phone, and doesn't put a case on it?

Me. Gave up on cases and the like several phones ago. Try to appreciate beauty and stop worrying - it probably won't happen!

(Oh yes, and it's considerably more than $600 in the UK too!)

Yes, heres why:

- Screen is absolutely stunning. Colors are accurate and everything is crisp and sharp.
- The build quality is awesome. Everything feels tight and it feels like a phone that should be more then $299.
