A) the ppi on a smaller screen but on a bigger one ? It should of been 1080p at 6.1 inches. On a 4.7 720p is ok but on a 6.1 no thank you .

The whole ppi thing is just numbers. It has the same on a bigger screen which isn’t exactly a good thing. In 2018 it should of been a 1080p screen. Comparing phones side to side you’ll notice the inferior screen.

Re: the bolded - I'm struggling to understand this point. Why does it matter if the screen is bigger? 326ppi is 326ppi. A 326ppi phone with a screen the size of a football field will look just as sharp/detailed as a 7/8/XR.

If anything, assuming identical screen densities, the larger screens will look better - because generally the user will be viewing them from further away.

The pixels are larger on the larger screen. If the screen was the size of a football field you would definitely be able to see individual pixels.

If the pixels are individually bigger then how do they claim ‘326ppi (pixels per inch)?
The ppi argument may be fair but if 326ppi is sufficient why did Apple go 401 on plus and then 458 on OLEDs?
Nobody can deny the improvement on higher ppi screens. Real question is how much you pay for the difference.

No. 326 pixels per inch is 326 pixels per inch. Assuming equal density, the pixels of a football field-sized screen would have to be the same size as those of an iPhone display in order to squeeze the same number of them into an inch of the display. If the pixels were larger as you suggest, then that would yield a lower screen density. Something less than 326ppi.

The giant screen would have a preposterously high resolution as a result.

Exactly.
