I worked part time ( made enough per hour I didn't need to work full time) had 2 research positions, graduated and went to medical school

Applied to tons of scholarships in HS, never had a "free summer", bought my clunker of a car , with zero financial support from my family, and graduated with only $4000 in debt

All while finding the time to get drunk, date, party, work out and dick around playing FPS/online

Damn do I hate this generation of kids that thinks they are owed something

You're not bright enough to read my posts to see I'm not entitled or owed anything.

Pretty stupid people on these boards, and very insecure. Forget about me man, the point was the kid shouldn't take advantage of his parents, but he also shouldn't get a job just to buy random crap. I love how so many people act like it's so easy to maintain a job in college.

If you're working enough in college to afford an iPhone 4 and iPad you're probably not getting the most out of your education. I couldn't even afford my textbooks or rent with an on-campus job.

lol, if YOU cant handle both, then that really sucks for YOU.

I maintain a 3.9 GPA, deans list honor, semester after semester, while working 35+ hours a week.

I'm getting more out of my education than most people, and I am paying for school as well as my apt, car, phone, cable, computers, etc etc etc, on my own. (as i am sure many other responsible college students are doing)
