So if all goes well, and there isn't any additional tearing, how much longer do you have to wear it?
Umm dunno. It should have been off by now. I have to go to an orthopedic specialist now. :( Appointments are hard to come by though.

@ Aggie ... Embarrassed to say I stopped at the MBA. Not the MBAir either (which is why I type MB Air and not MBA). I've been seriously contemplating a PhD or my JD.

I have found the iPhone keyboard a lot more accurate than all these other physical keyboard. Once you learn to trust the iPhone to auto-correct then there are few phones that can beat the iPhone in speed and accuracy.

Rather than worrying about physical keyboards, manufacturers should focus on creating even better touchscreen technology. This is the future.

It also makes it future proof. New features are mostly just a firmware update. Also from Apple's point of view it is also more economical as they don't have to ship different models to different areas of the world with different keyboards.

Definitely not! No reason to add more bulk and weight.

Part of the original idea of the iPhone was to remove the keyboard, as SJ says when they announced it.

I would not welcome it.

Are you just making a statement?
Its kinda like
Blue Truck= Not a fire truck.

Having a physical keyboard would mean that Apple is admitting they were wrong about the touchscreen being the way to go.

Sales would increase for a while as the people who thought they wanted a keyboard buy one, but eventually would drop off like every other phone.

Red Bird= Not an canary
Uterus= not a clown car

Apple blasted and made fun of keyboard based phones because they add clunk and are not suited to handle extra applications if they are added. Remember, each app requires its own set of keys.

So, Apple decided, what the hell, make it touchscreen and that way everyone is happy.

I dunno UN DE, mine is fairly amusing and scary all in one, like a clown car.

Physical keyboard on the iPhone -- nope, don't want one.

An external portable (folding) keyboard that I can set the iPhone/touch into and use for real typing. Sure, just like I used on the Palm and Windows Mobile devices.

nope! not on the phone... however i would consider buying a reasonably priced little keyboard that's an add-on accessory to use with my iphone when i'm at work!
