So I'm going to hold onto mine now for a couple reasons:
1) may get another with the same or worse issue, or an inferior screen. Comparing with the demo unit at Best Buy, my screen was as good if not better-- pretty neck in neck with the other A02A.
2) have 45 days not 30 to return/exchange the rMBP, if the problem crops up everywhere or gets worse, I have options
3) maybe I could get used to it, but playing with the demo, the keys were squishy and sort of matte feeling. Compared to the 15" rMBP next to it and my 2015 13" that's clickier (but not clicky overboard, its a nice balance), and on par with the 2014 13" rMBP's refurbished I experienced, I prefer this keyboard and a bit of punchiness. If anything, there's variation beyond which keyboard you have, my previous 2014 was sorta loose near the enter bar which slowed down my flow for paragraph breaks.
It's time to count my blessings and OCD wind down a little.
I always pay a premium for apple products as do we all, but even though "you paid a premo, you should get perfect" we all know perfect is the unicorn out there. It's about picking your battles in the return hell game, if you want to call it a game.
These two things make me more inclined to hold out for a bit. I wouldn't really call mine clicky its just got a nice springiness to it i'm used to. They can't even get the keyboard right at this point, yikes.
They feel so different they might as well ask if you want soft or clicky as part of the configuration process. Dear golly, Apple quality control dips to new lows ALL THE TIME.
assuming this thing holds up and i don't cave returning it and gambling like crazy, i might just hold onto it forever now that I'm over the retina hurdle in mac world.
At this rate, not going to upgrade my 6+ for a while either.

Imagine getting a 17k gold apple watch with a dingy screen
