Well, my rMBP A02A is definitely yellow on the top left side, it's really annoying me. It's hardly visible on a pic, but it's there, especially on safari top bar.
How are yours ? Really the same on both side ?
Can't tell based on your photo. Best way is to turn brightness up to the max and bring up a totally white screen. Like about:blank. Then maximize the window and see how it looks.
To my eyes, it's not visible at all on a white screen. I can barely see it on the pic I posted, even if the colors are not like this in real, it's not the same left and right the address.
I compared my apple logo of my 2014 RMBP with a friend's 2012 RMBP having an A014 model and his logo was pure white and mine was pink to another level but i guess as many people are experiencing the same it might be normal.
Also his screen was much more better in contrast and brightness compared to mine which is weird as the early models had a lot of issues. Mine on the other hand suffers from the yellow tint

mine is also like that. yellow tint on left side. you can tell by looking at the safari bar and white pages look yellow on the left. I've gone through a bunch of exchanges and there is always a yellow tint somewhere, either on the left, the right, the bottom. still trying to find an A02A with even tint. does anyone with an A02A have perfect uniformity? the A029s I had came with perfect screen uniformity but they all had image retention.
I would say that the a02a i have does posses perfect uniformity. I can't see anything i'd describe as different. I am not uncommonly sensitive to it, but as I look at it, i wouldn't say so.
I understand your position, the thing is I don't need to focus to see it. Plus, it has a weird half inch bluer at bottom, really noticeable in full screen, especially on a white page (like this forum).
You can always try, but like you told us it's your fault. I don't think we can tell you what might happen. If it still works, that's very good tho.
Also look on Craigslist or your local equivalent for used adapters on the cheap. I also know that there are knock off adapters that are much cheaper online, sometimes as little as 25$ compared to buying it from Apple.
Good luck.
If they gave you a bad screen, get it replaced or return it. It doesn't mean they owe you.
If the broken adapter is preventing an exchange then they might allow the new one to come in before you return the current one so the bad adapter doesn't prevent that return (put the new adapter in with the return and keep the bad one) . That sounds reasonable.
I'm not being rude to you, wish you luck and they might be nice to you, but this is a widely read public forum. Not really really the place to get advice about tricking apple store employees.
This is the best I've had so far (tried 4). It just gets to the point where it's not worth the effort. Build quality, battery life, speed, etc, all flawless but I can't get an Apple product with a colour accurate screen to save my life.
What are you comparing it to? Are you comparing it to a properly calibrated monitor?
I don't think QC was at all perfect under Jobs, but it's taken a noticeable dive over the years increasingly.
I'll chalk the little abnormality in my screen up to be a unique watermark assigned only to me, so if anyone leaks (or in this case physically steals) my 2015 13" rMBP, they and thadoggfather (oh, referring to oneself in 3rd person-- the joys) are gonna be having some problems, doubling down on secrecy here. haha
Hi,
I just asked myself something about the serial number of my new rMBP. It's not arrived yet, but it's a replacement and it's on the invoice. This new one begins by C17, while the two I send back were C02, as pretty much all I've seen here.
Does anybody knows the meaning of the 3 first characters ?
