Maybe one of my old and slow iPhones that I don't use anymore. But my 5S? No thanks. I'd just be downgrading.

No

I had a Galaxy S4 up until 3 days ago when a girl with a brand new 5s wanted to trade. I gladly did. I got away last year when it came, wanting to try something new. It took me 2-3 weeks to get used to it and while I like the big screen, the overall experience just was not as good as the iPhone. I also am in the Apple ecosystem with iPad retina mini and Mac Pro with apple tv. I feel like the lost prodigal child that came back home!

Absolutely not. Too many of the people I communicate with the most use iPhones now. It would be too inconvenient to switch.

Nope!! My first smartphone was an iPhone that I bought from a friend. When it came time to upgrade I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I switched to an Android. It wasn't horrible but, after a year, I couldn't wait for my next upgrade so that I could go back to iPhone. I have a 4S now and when my next upgrade comes I will definitely be staying with :apple:!!

No. You'd have to pry my iPhone from my cold dead hands lol seriously though I wouldn't as I've just come from using the galaxy S4 and am happy to be using the iPhone again after 20 months of using android.

No. Tried two Androids a couple of years ago. Never again.

Depending on how long ago you tried Android, and the specific hardware you tried, a lot may have changed.

I currently have an iPhone 5s, but that doesn't mean I'm always going to have an iPhone. Android has some amazing flexibility and functionality that you can't always get in iOS.

I really, really dislike Google and try to avoid anything that has to do with them, so no. I will be getting a Windows phone next, though, but I'm not sure if that will replace my iPhone 5 or coexist with it.
Out of curiosity, how is Google (as a company/service provider) really any better or worse than Microsoft? They are all big companies with fairly similar positives and negatives really.

I did it with the iPhone 4. Since then I've had galaxy s3, s4, nexus 4 & 5 and note 3

I'm back on the iPhone 5s and I am here to stay. Love the seamless integration of apps and iOS, build quality of the iPhone and apples customer service

For me, the grass wasn't greener!

I was close to getting a Note 3 to replace my iPhone 5, mainly because of it's large sexy screen. However, after playing with a demo unit for about 10-15 minutes the interface scared me off. It's just not as nice, smooth or responsive as iOS.

Plus software support for apps kind of worries me. Almost everything comes out for iOS, and most of the time android as well. But some apps never make it to android or take forever to get there.

For free? Doubtful, since all my devices sync nicely with each other right now.

If you paid me? Maybe, depends how much. :)

Right now, no.

Is it possible? Sure. But Apple would really have to screw up the experience I currently enjoy on my iPhone for me to consider switching.

I really hope that day never comes.

The basic premise. Microsoft makes money by selling me a service, Google makes money by selling me as a service...

I also like the MS ecosystem (especially the business side, but also outlook.com & skydrive) way better than G's offerings.

Er, no. It was the whole google data-mining business model that I couldn't stomach. That's only become more draconian since then.

There are definitely ecosystem differences that can be better/worse. As for services and data mining and all that, it might not be as "in your face" or discussed as much, even with all that "Scroogled" marketing BS essentially, you can be fairly confident that Microsoft is mining all the data they can on you just as any other (large) online service provider--these days, even with other products in play, that's still where most of the good stuff lies for any company with a decent online presence.

Android? No.
Windows? Maybe in a year or 2. It really depends on how the next few years go as far as development on both platforms, but it would take quite an attractive device for me to change.

I have always had Androids but after seeing one of my friends iphone 5 I decided to give iphone a try. I can't imagine going back to Android. While I did enjoy Android, ios just worked out of the box with no customizing needed.

Would you trade your iphone for an android?

Perfectly understandable but let's not forget all large companies do this too a certain extent. There are very few free services I use that don't directly target ads, Pandora and such which is understandable I guess.

Also settings > privacy > advertising > limit ad tracking on an Apple device doesn't exactly make you invisible. They are still using your data. This is where a lot of apps get their targeted ad data.

I did for a Galaxy S4 and then quickly came back when the 5s was released. Apple is just easier and seamless. I did enjoy the larger screen of the S4 and it is a good device overall but I guess I'm just an :apple:
