But dude! They're multi-colored!!They owe the public, what they paid for. A premium smartphone. Not a lousy "bumper".

Just watched it also here in NYC .. Not a good look for Apple. They better start sending us free bumpers now lol
not to get off subject, but did I miss a press release by Apple stating they sold 1.5 million iPhones in one day?
just curious.
as much as i tried, couldn't duplicate the issue. not even one bar would drop no matter how i held the phone.
i am in miami-dade florida and there must be so many redundant towers here that the signal will always be strong.

Same here just an hour north of you. I can sometimes get one bar to drop, but other than that it's a total non-issue for me. I've made countless calls since Wednesday (holding in either hand) and not a single drop or missed call.
I'm not saying there's no issue at all, but the magnitude and proportion of it is just so completely hyped thanks to viral media. The whole "I can't make a call just picking it up" is BS.
Viral media? Try Apple apologists. Steve should have never responded because this is a serious issue that is impacting a large amount of users. Glad you're fine but 50% of my calls drop and I had no problems with my 3GS.

If Apple didn't know this was gonna be an issue for a lot of people they never would have made the 'bumper'. When i saw Steve Jobs first explain the reasons behind the design to then say 'oh and we are making a case called a bumper'
<- can't touch this.
I'll refund your $200 if you send me your iPhone 4. Then you can go back to your 3GS and be happy.
you guys think that video ripped apple, check out the link http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/25/hey-apple-youre-holding-it-wrong/ lol
