Yeah, so this person may now be #15 or so out of 10 million+ who have bent their iPhone. Give me a f'n break, haha. I think I smell a troll here! Haha!

Sorry for crappy quality! old phone used

Done. see above

That definitely sucks, but I suspect it was bent at the factory based on how little time you've had it. I've had a 6 for two weeks and tested to confirm that it's still completely flat on a table. Unfortunately, I think you've just had some terrible luck. Hopefully the next one will be perfect. Karma.

3rd ones a charm? lol

Its crazy to, naked eye you won't notice this bend. It's that slight.... but on a table flat its noticeable, since it wobbles.

Eh bad luck. What you gonna do

Dear lord the apple apologists are out in force tonight!

OP, someone already said this but forget about the appt and go tomorrow. Tell them this is the 2nd defective 6 you've gotten, be polite about it and they should take good care of you. Maybe even throw in a free case or a lightening cable.

yea im heading over tomorrow right after work. And i WILL be demanding some sort of case/cable for this crap

Only one trolling is you

Well...if a troll means having 4 science based degrees, and an impeccable understanding of statistics...then a troll I therefore shall signify and be. Haha. It's not an issue, and Apple will never recognize it as such. You are the minority, and if you had any comprehension of what that meant, you'd study and relalize that math and quantitative analysis of a defective device versus an actual operational total shows that you're misrepresenting your problem. I think I also saw you post that you're on your third phone with a problem?? Based on actual complaint and test ratios, you're either lying...or extremely (however unlikely)...unlucky.

It's almost painful to watch you attempt to be so smart ... when really all you're doing is trying to convince yourself you're smart

So I recently had an issue where my normal i6 screen was "clicking" ... seemed loose. Went to a genius bar, confirmed screen was loose. Gave me a new one (yesterday)

Now today.... i notice my looks off..and im talking super slightly. I didnt think anything of it. Figured "dominant" eye was the culprit. So i get home hours later.. this thing still looks off.

Ive tried it on 5 different flat surfaces. 3 tables, 2 counters and it all rocks back forth from 2 corners while the other 2 are completely firm and flat.

I am actually beyond livid at this point... this is going to be #3... I almost thought I was going to avoid this issue cause it wasnt a plus

EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ek4WBzXSN94&list=UUe4Sn3pVdhb3quYIudLZZVw

I am going to be really nice to you... That means I am going to tell the truth.

I think it came out of the box that way.

We can't see enough... Sure it's rocking, but you are too close in to know what's going on. Is it on the glass or on the back? The table could be uneven. Also the amount of movement is not significant. This could be within manufacturing tolerances.

My first phone had a slight bow to it, 0.10mm, when laid down on it's face, and you only noticed, when you pressed on the back and the screen was on. I could see the light diminish as I pressed on it. However I didn't consider it a defect.

Lot's of things have a slight rocking motion to it, and it's fine. I am not saying you should be satisfied with your phone, but I think this is one item you shouldn't have brought up. You should have privately taken it back to the Apple Store.

Based on what you've shown us, I would not be able to tell it was bent by simply looking at it. I probably wouldn't worry about it either. But it's your phone and you go do what you want. Just don't make a stink, because your worry is a bit on the ridiculous side. I bet if bend-gate didn't happen, you wouldn't have given this much of any thought.

Wow. You must really be ignorant or just naive. Your inability to understand numbers makes me "a person trying to be smart?" Haha. Let's see here and provide a primary example...I'm on my my third phone, not because anything was wrong with them, but because I'm indecisive, and returned them because I didn't like their size or color. Not one had a problem. However...you expect people to believe that you have now received 3 defective phones?? Do you have any understanding of how mathematically impossible that is? Haha. Good luck my friend, and I wish you luck in the Apple Store tomorrow. I would love to be fly on the wall when they start asking you serious questions about what you've been doing with your phone, haha.

you rather call OP an retard than believe that iPhone can bend??

unbelievable.

OP... do what I did. if you have the 6+, return it and get 6. it feels a lot more solid.

or just keep returning it. Sooner or later Apple will realize that people are going through this. Apple will never admit it, but hopefully 6S will have the issue fixed.

Who is calling the Op a retard? Stop putting words in my post.
................im going to just pretend you're trolling me
pretend all you want, your post was unclear .

sorry about your phone OP, I described the exact same problem yesterday, and was harassed by the Apple apologists to the point that the thread had to be closed; good luck....

Note that in my case, I tested that over the 15 days I had had the phone, and it started doing that after 15 days, so it wasn't like that out of the box...

exact same wobble though

I'm really starting to think they are the ones who deserve the mantle of trolls, especially when considering how fast they are willing to throw that very word out, just because they can't accept the notion that they are a complete minuscule number of the majority who have experienced problems. Some of these people are like Republicans...you delineate facts and substantive answers to them, and they reply with "you're a liberal/troll!". Haha. Being intelligent and intuitive is apparently heresy to these folks. Haha.

Wait wait wait....you talk about quantitative analysis, mathematical odds and all this other gibberish and then bring up your own , irrelevant, anecdotal experience to "prove" this guy is lying?

I would recommend that you try to get a refund from whoever issued you your 4 degrees, but you'll have less luck with that than the OP will returning his clearly defective iphone 6.

Do you even realize how asinine what you just said was? Anecdotal? Irrelavant? Haha. Once again a person with no experience, expertise, or knowledge about statistics. You know what, you're right...I should get even more complicated, and spit out equations that you still wouldn't understand and make you look even more stupid, right? You can only resort to insults and hyperbole. You want to know an interesting fact? Science and numbers aren't just correct when it's curing your diseases, enabling people to land on other planets, making your blenders, or creating your TVs. The science of math integrated into statistics is just about always accurate in every way, so just because it challenges your bias in a belief, you really need to get over it. Haha. I give up. Good luck fellas. I wish you best of luck in proving your "bend gate". Haha. Continue clamoring.

Sincerely,

A 34 year old professionally educated adult.

To be fair to the OP? Back in the early days of the iPod I got three factory defects in a row. No lie. It can happen.

However, that could be true based on the expected defect rate for that model, which would have been based on the amount sold in that specific year during launch, and including any noted manufacturing anomalies. So of course it's possible. But again, based on the statistics of this years launch, and the time that has surpassed....it is not possible...to have...three phones bend. Unless....you are either heavy weighted, are doing something stupid, doing it on purpose, or are completely silly enough to put it in our back pocket and actually sit on it. Haha.

I can get my phone to rock slightly on 2 out of 6 flat surfaces. Aluminum is a soft metal. I would bet most phones slightly wobble. Just from assembly would create variances. I'm not talking about the obvious bent phone issues, but if most people laid their phone face down on a flat surface, they could see an ever so slight wobble. Not as obvious as the OP, but it is there.

If you try hard enough to bend these phones, they will bend.

When you have a bent phone and put it on a flat table, it will rock.

The issue isn't whether or not a phone is bent, it is how it happened. Purposeful? Magic? Some fundamental flaw in the aluminum that Apple and the suppliers never tested for?

There are people who claim they checked every day and poof, on the day after the return policy was up, their phone was magically bent.

There are people who claim their phone bent from just putting their case on and off.

There are even people who create websites showing bent phone with and claim they know which phones were purposely bent and they exclude those pictures (although inexplicably they include bent phones from the Apple Store). They are truly wizards.

OP, it sounds like every "flat" surface in your house is bent because iPhones don't bend. Macrumors told me so.

Ok so ive tried flat down.........on the actual screen. It rocks back and forth when pressing opposite corners (top left and bottom right).... when i try other the other 2 corners.... it doesnt move at all...

When i try on the back side with camera off the edge... it rocks as well still. same result.

Is it possible your table isn't flat?

Hell I believe you, who am I to complain? My phone happens to start fires...sheesh

OP, it sounds like every "flat" surface in your house is bent because iPhones don't bend. Macrumors told me so.

Of course the phones bend. With enough force, like that guy who said his thumb hurt for 20 minutes after he bent his phone, or the video from the UK of the 2 people who went into an apple store to test this and first said they couldn't bend it, but after some twisting and effort were able to.

There is no doubt that the phones can bend and it is dishonest to say that Macrumors claimed that they couldn't.

Now, does the phone bend when, as people have claimed, you just put it in your top shirt pocket? Or just put it in your gym bag? Or just take the case off? Or does after you examine it for 15 days and then POOF, the 16th day it is now bent?
