I suspect American Nutella is nothing like the European one though.

Same goes for all chocolate brands in general. American Cadbury's chocolate bars for example taste nothing like the European version.

That's why the tag line marketing for Marmite in UK is 'love it, hate it' because it divides people into polar opposites.

You're not lying. I lived in Reading for about 2 years and you can definitely tell there's a difference. People over here look at me crazy when I ask why don't we have Mars bars in the States, then they point me towards snickers or when I ask for Marmalade and they say, well we have jelly. I'm like.... Umm No, it's not the same

Decided to try this phone out. Maybe I had a defective one, but when I plug my headphones into the port they don't stay in. The Samsung headphones work fine, they also are nice and snug in my 5S. What gives?

The WiFi also keeps randomly disconnecting. AT&T and Samsung claim its my router. I might add that it works fine with an iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, iPad 4, Air, iMac, MacBook Pro... yeah you get the point.

The S5 also does not like to play songs very loud. This is a pain if you are trying to work out.

The screen sensitivity is way off. Sometimes I have to constantly tap something for it to work. Turning on the touch sensitivity only makes it worse.

Oh yeah, the apps are horrible. Games lag. I'm just surprised that in 2014, the whole Android experience was this bad.

Never again Samsung. Now to eat that $35 AT&T restocking fee. ):

It's TouchWiz that is crap. Maybe when the GPE version is released you'll feel differently.

On an Apple forum??? Get outta here... never would have guessed that!

This ain't the Apple forum per se last I looked, maybe I am hallucinating and we are not talking alternatives here.

I am talking about Windows and android phones. S5 will be outclassed this year and in the lower tier of rankings. Wanna bet?

I am not sure about food but I know American and British tv season length is different. I recently started watching this show called Luther, season 1 had 6 episodes and season 2 was 4. That sucks

LOL... Some of our TV seasons can be as little as 3 episodes !!!

Luther was really good, the only reason I watched it because the main guy was in The Wire. Most of the British shows I have seen are horrible

Yes....show me your data? have a link to back that up? Because all the data so far points to the S5 outselling the S4 from last year. So if you have proof of what your saying please share.

What they stop selling Mars bars in the States? OMFG, the travesty, I loved that as a kid. Never acquired a taste for Marmalade but my dad loves it. I'm your typical PB&J fellow myself.

I found some at a specialty food store but they're pretty hard to come by at the local grocers. I friggin love mars bars.

So do I, I guess I need to pay more attention when I go to a store to see if I can find me some Mars bars.

LOL...do it....snap a pic and post it....:D

Lol.. Wouldn't be so cruel to my fellow macrumorians :D

Ha ha that's just so wrong :D

When I get off work today I'm going on a Mars bar hunt.

I just realized we completely hijacked this thread .... For the better

Definelty for the better. It's turned out to be one of most entertaining threads we've had in here in AGES :)

The comments here have derailed, but thats not a bad thing. This thread should go to the wasteland.

Nutella is gross, it is like eating cake icing

Then i would enjoy it, though im not big on Hazelnut flavor.

Ever tried Cashew butter? So good, but expensive.

Fully agree. First ingredient: Sugar. Nutella has had watchdogs pull clearly spurious ads from television and it has lost at least one multi-million dollar lawsuit with all the talk of "healthy breakfast" "just nuts" blah blah. A vile product.

No issue here, I have Klipsch S4i and Mee M6s. Not sure what the heck your talking about here.

The WiFi also keeps randomly disconnecting. AT&T and Samsung claim its my router. I might add that it works fine with an iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, iPad 4, Air, iMac, MacBook Pro... yeah you get the point.
Again not sure what your talking about. Top notch wifi here, I can even pick up the signal past my FL/bar room, pool, and onto my dock. None of our iPhones can do that nor Macbooks (they can all reach the pool, barely). Check Macrumors itself for thread after thread after thread and post about wifi and Apple products not playing nice, I've even been through two different N routers and had to move my home office into another room closer to the router in the living room for my Apple stuff. Macbooks have especially been known for years to have wonky wifi.

The S5 also does not like to play songs very loud. This is a pain if you are trying to work out.
Again this makes no sense, the phone is loud as hell through headphones and way clearer sounding then the 5S that's for sure, can even find plenty of iPhone owners on here who know the downgrade in sound quality the iPhones have taken. And if your talking about the speaker, who the heck works out listening to that? Oh yeh nothing like getting pumped up listening to a phone on speaker blaring tinny sounds, not even the M8 is good for working out like that. I never use the speaker for music anyway as I stream devices inside or outside to speakers.

The screen sensitivity is way off. Sometimes I have to constantly tap something for it to work. Turning on the touch sensitivity only makes it worse.
No problem here

Oh yeah, the apps are horrible. Games lag. I'm just surprised that in 2014, the whole Android experience was this bad.
No problem here and no clue what your even talking about. Have no lag, games don't lag. Phones is fast, smooth, and responsive. What apps are horrible? I've had iPhones for years since they came out and funny, when I went to the S2 three years ago and till now... have never had trouble finding app that performs the same or similar to iOS, no problems. Save for the FB app but I use shortcut for mobile anyway.

I've had my S5 for 4 days now, and while I do have my share of niggles with it, it is NOTHING like you're going on about.

If you legitimately had all those issues, then you probably had a faulty unit.

Either that or you went into your purchase wanting to hate it and you picked on everything you could.

The fact that you think it'll be on the bottom of most 2014 ranking lists says it all really. Even with small issues that have plagued Galaxy S handsets, they've consistently been praised fairly highly year over year.

Not saying that it doesn't have ANY issues, because I have found a few...but its nothing like what you're claiming.

That's all fine and well but let's get to the nitty gritty..

Where do you stand on Mars Bars, Nutella, Marmite & Marmalade ;)

I feel like popping down to the shop and buying one just to wind the pair of you up :p

LOL...do it....snap a pic and post it....:D

Lol, so wrong but so right. I'll admit if the situation were opposite I would do the same, lol. So all good. Please do post a pic!
