Woz seems like he's more of an Android guy than iOS. He likes openness, features etc.

iOS doesn't seem like it fits his style, tastes. Glad he's not a part of Apple anymore.

If people want a bigger screen, they can buy something else. Who says they have to cater to everyone?

People take what apple give them point blank. From what I read on here before the iPhone dropped people wanted a 4.3" phone. Now all of a sudden they are happy with the schlong version. IMO people just buy the iphone to fit in and think they are cool. Its not even about function anymore whith this breed of follower. Just like all these idiots who line up for the same pair of jordans when they drop. Keep settling for less and you will get less.

The real know what I'm trying to say. I cant express my disgust enough over the long stupid looking iPhone 5 with crappy iOS 6. Have a nice day. :)

It's not about fitting in. They want the iPhone, iPhone continually has the highest customer satisfaction rates and is almost always the phone of the year, even though it releases late. You're assuming everyone is a hipster, just like the android people would say about iOS users. There are people who buy it because everyone has it but that's a choice THEY made so what gives you the right to judge them?

WOZ's comments are 100% DEAD ON.

Apple should have made a wider screen but copped out in order to keep OS/hardware changes to a minimum All so they could release an interim phone and create another revenue stream.

I'll bet its in IP6... by then Apple will probably feel that people will be more able to move their thumbs across a bigger screen. Or some other mindless reasoning.

I am not sure about Apple being arrogant. I just think they do like RIM was doing. Which was a model of not really changing much from year to year. It worked for RIM with their blackberries for a really long time. Eventually it catches up to you. At some pt. you have to stop assuming you know what is best for the customer. And give them more choices, plus you have to take more chances and start innovating. Not just copy something someone is doing, and make it better more polished. I just think if Apple doesn't start coming out with some original ideas, long term wise. They will be in trouble. Sure right now they are selling a ton of phones. But eventually the will go the way of RIM and other companies that refused to change.

The difference here is, when Apple copies... they DO more often then not make things better and more polished. The same cant be said for RIM.

Apple could have kept it at 3.5", and pissed off a lot of folks who wanted it larger. Or they could have made it 4.3" or larger, and pissed off people who wanted it smaller. What they did instead is, make it larger than the 3.5", but smaller than the 4.3", thus making a compromise between the 2. I think this is a great approach. Larger screen, but not too huge. If they made it 4.3", many people would be complaining. You can't please everyone, so they made a choice that should be a fine compromise for many people.

I was an original iPhone user and loved it an still love apple products but I went to android. I love both Platforms to be honest but I do like the fact that apple sticks to one phone and has one a year. There are so many android phones...and don't get me wrong I loved it but it begins to be redundant because cell providers have the same phone but ones called an X or S. I love my 5 and glad to be back with an iPhone but I will never get rid of an android phone also...
