I could not recommend this product to anyone, big wate of time, money and energy.

Purchased one locally in Toronto for $30 + tax, get home to install it and it was botched right in the package, peice not cut correctly, indents that would not go away on the back film. Ordered a replacement which I should not have had to, I would have returned it however the Rogers store had FINAL SALE on the receipt (I wonder why) so I figure atleast get what I paid for so took advantage of the liftetime warranty replacement and Wrapsol charged me $13.00 shipping and sent me replacement. Well there goes another $13 on top of the $30 + tax I already paid. This one arrived creased, with the film lifted and debris stuck to the sticky side.

What a waste. I always used silicone screen protectors and I should have stuck with them, atleast when you apply them if dust or lint gets trapped you just peel it off, wash it off and reapply until it is dust and lint free. Try that with these films, once dust gets stuck and embedded in the adhesive you are SOL, you cannot remove it and even if you do carefully remove it with tweezers you ase sure to damage the adhesive side enough to have a permanent mark, try to run it under soap and water and you can keep rubbing until the adhesive starts to come off before that sucker is coming off. Exchange your phone, try to remove it and reuse it, good luck. Well atleast you can get a replacement through Wrapsol however they will charge you a shipping fee far more than what it costs to actually ship the product, did you really think they would give you a replacement free? The shipping covers the cost of the actual shipment + the $1 or $2 it costs them to produce one kit.

I cannot recommend this product to ANYONE, first of all the quality control is non existant, the product has to be put on the first time with 0 lint or dust or you are throwing away money and the replacement IF you do get a good one the second time around is raising the price of the initial purchase when it shouldnt have to.

FINAL SALE on a brand new (not discontinued or clearance item) should have been a warning.

If anything go to FutureShop or Best Buy and purchase the InvisibleShield so you can just walk in and exchange or return if needed. I still do not recommend this type of product simply because the alternatives are cheaper, easier to put on and remove and can be cleaned if debris gets trapped and are cheap to replace if scratched. Sure they offer no drop protection however do you honestly think a 1mm thick piece of Wrapsol is going to stop your phone from denting or cracking during a drop? even the band protection is usless, chances of the phone hitting flat on the surface of the band is a long shot, the edge of the band will most likely get hit and dented.

Before reading this thread, I purchased the Wrapsol Ultra at WM today for $19.95. Looked good.

Well, the back went on great, however, the front was not cut correctly and the sides were like in 6 pieces. A few so small, it was impossible to place them. Like 1/4 inch between the volume buttons. Come on now.

I rarely, if ever, believe something has a "lifetime warranty". I found Wrapsol's site, went thru the replacement process, scanning the receipt and the box and the front. Told them the front and sides were not right, but the back was great.

I just received a tracking # from them for a Fed Ex package. We will see if this is any better.

In defense of Wrapsol, the product from Wal-Mart was on one sheet of curved plastic. Nothing like the pictures in this thread. Must be the first batch. Stay tuned. By the way, the two bubbles from the back are gone and it is crystal clear. If the front comes out like this, I will be pleased.

I would not worry about that. You may be right, but dry applications are still easier then wet applications overall. Since it is dry, you do not need to touch the under side of the film to place it on the screen. I've only done it once before, but it was very easy to do and it turned out much better then the first time I tried to do a wet application.

Wrapsol still needs improvement IMHO. I covered my Mac laptop and iPod Touch with the original wet, and things turned out OK. Certainly better than the Best Buy screen film junk. But, I still had a few bubbles that wouldn't leave, even after a few days of drying.

My iPhone ultra dry application is an improvement. It can be readjusted and I didn't have any fingerprint problems initially. The ultra surprisingly is tough protection. I accidentally bounced my Phone down three steps of a ladder and nothing happened.

Even so, after just a few weeks of pulling it in and out of my pocket, the film tended to peal back at the corners. Then specks of dirt got in there. It replaces fairly well, but its still a magnet for dirt, so eventually the glue doesn't stick.

Wrapsol is expensive.

Replacement just arrived. Just like the original purchased at War-Mart. Unless I stretch the front and back, they are too short. The sides are in six pieces, some too small to even pick up this your fingers.

I thought someone posted they had improved from the original.

I'm done with this outfit. Time to move on.

I totally agree with you. I just picked up one of these from Walmart and it's just pathetic. I can't imagine anyone using this screen protector, I hate to bash them, but this thing is simply no good.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I had a simple questions that I didnt want to create a new thread for...

For those who used wrapsol for dry application, did you notice that the screen seems to have a "wet" look underneath? I.e. when I look at my screen, I see a bunch of TFT colours that makes it look like water is currently trapped between the protector and the screen

I know its still been under 24 hours but I just wanted to make sure it went away first

Hope you have better luck than me. I dumped mine months ago, wrote it off and have been using Case Mates for the front and either an Incipio NGP for light carry or a Mophie Juice pak for longer and busier days.

Mine has been on for a week now. I still see some rainbows on the screen, and it never really "cured". By that I mean I can move the front and back pieces around with my fingers. They don't stay put, I'm returning this to WalMart as soon as my Power Support set arrives. Not impressed.

I sent a pic of this type of streaking to wrapsol and they sent me a new one since they said it was defect. Mine had streak lines that would show rainbowish with white backgrounds. I just put the new one on yesterday and I don't have the rainbow streaks but I accidentally got a few specks of the "white eraser" squeegee under the front one. Argh...I just can't win.

Anyway, shoot a pic and send it to wrapsol via their warranty program.

Good luck..

Same problems! i put mine on two days ago. and on top of that i waited 10 days for shipping on this! Does anyone know if they will overnight a new one?

They sent my replacement FedEx ground and it took 2-3 business days. It's not perfect but I think I'm getting better at installation but I would've paid extra to have it installed by someone. I think you need a "clean room" to make sure you don't get any dust under it since the sheet that the actual film is on is quite static sensitive.

Oh well it's still better for me with the phone naked looking yet having some decent drop protection as seen in that youtube video.

I picked up a set at the local Canada Computer store. They must have the same old batch cause I got the vertical rainbow lines too. I've requested for a replacement, it sucks that it looks like I'll have to shoulder the 13 dollar shipping cost. I'm waiting to hear back if I'll get it. I just wish I could convince them to pay for the shipping since it was kinda their fault...

Edit: as not to double post, I figure I post a quick review of the new wrapsol ultra. Seems like they rebooted the line a bit to accommodate Verizon phones and added the easy install wrap handles. I installed back side dry and front side wet. Wet still seems to do the better install. The orange peel effect is rather minimal. Though it feels almost half as thin as the last batch I had which is kinda disappointing. It's pretty slick, not as slick as my SGP crystal but less finger print magnety. The cut seems a little off. I'll post pictures when I get some time, but I had to muscle bits back into place. I think it's partially because the handles don't rip of as cleanly as they should.

I have purchased multiple wrapsol kits from WM. I have zero issues. Easy to apply and I won't complain for $20. Had it on my white 4 for a year. Yeah it started to turn brown but it was still on and protecting my phone. Just applied 2 more yesterday. Perfect fit and no bubbles or issues at all.
