SilentPanda, despite your great effort to keep your tally on track, I think it would be better not to change them, or only if you got ninja'd, it is more useful to have such markstones left along our way imho. It works also well with the updated spreadsheet. But of course that's just my opinion and you may very well continue as before.

Why do I mention this? I think it's quite likely that at least one Cylon voted for either Koodauw or me. But the tally around that 6-6 tie is now 'messed' up. Please take this just as constructive criticism or ignore it when it bothers you. It's just that I'm on the phone and it'd be much easier that way.

Having sayed all that, I don't have the time to investigate my theory any further right now, but won't change my vote either. Still comfortable with Koodauw whose strange strategy forced me to put on my protective underwear last night and also the upcoming.

I am not disagreeing with you but... I don't understand most of what you wrote.

I see the "I'm one vote away from being lynched Hey wait I'm a special" card was played. How convenient.

Are we supposed to read between the lines with this protective underwear you seem to love to mention?

as a clarification, there was never a situation when the votes were 6-6.
the closest was 6 (koodauw) - 5 (twietee), right after Scepticalscribe temporarily switched to twietee from Jav, then it went to 5-5 rick's vote to moyamk)), 5-4 (sceptical back to jab) and down from there to the current
5 (koodauw) - 3 (jav) - 2 (twietee)

Without an infection, it's worth the seer outing themselves over any of the cylons. So it's not like he's getting a free pass.

I think this makes a nice save by Starbuck. I would like to think that.

I hate double posting, so......

Edit - As to who to vote for, well, crhmjenkins. I'm dubious on the "Hey wait! I'm a special card" and I highly doubt Koodauw or Twietee are of any danger (I might be sorely wrong tho).

I'll vote for crhmjenkins too. What's his excuse for not posting yet?

When else does one play it? Rather, it is that - if the claim is accurate - that it is highly inconvenient for someone with such a role to be a target so early.

No, but bandwagons develop with astonishing speed, and my vote put twietee in a position where one more would have put him in active danger; as three people hadn't voted yet at that time, things could have changed very rapidly - putting him in mortal danger - had they chosen to pile in.

Why are you dubious? When this happens, it is usually about the only way the putative special can play it and hope to live another day, and/or reveal what has been found out to date.

I'll vote for crhmjenkins too. What's his excuse for not posting yet?

And is there a reason for this vote, given that you seem to be in no danger whatsoever as yet? Voting for oneself is usually viewed as an act of hopeless self-destruction, but nothing in your position suggests that you are approaching this situation.

I didn't vote for myself. I voted for crhmjenkins ;)

I was simply poking fun at jav being unable to spell my name right. My vote is still for Rick.

[WW] Battlestar Galactica - DAY TWO - Deadline: Thursday at 10:00 AM EST

I didn't vote for myself. I voted for crhmjenkins ;)

Works for me comeagain. And siht! you guys are right, I was under the impression scepticalscribe's vote was my sixth.

Sorry, Panda! It's what Moyank beautifully worded with just two sentences where I need three paragraphes and it's still not clear.

Koodauw, please let off me and look for another target. And about that protective stuff: ask comeagain? after the game how he appreciated you putting him in the spotlight the first night, guess his death was kinda framed by that.

I'll let the majority decide: I can out myself (reveal role) right now. There are advantages when I do it, some when I don't.

Ooooops. Mea culpa, never spotted that (and I have worked as an editor; I have often noticed that stuff I can spot effortlessly on the printed page, slides by my unseeing bespectacled eyes on a computer screen). Hm. Cue sound of eating a post.....

Yes, but bandwagons can build at speed, and I'm not always in a position to remedy a vote swiftly as I am in a different time zone......

Actually, screw the majority thing, not going to happen anyway. But I'm open to any opinions. When I have a couple of spare minute, I will give the whole thing a good thought and act accordingly.

Are we supposed to read between the lines [...] ?

I always thought reading between the lines is a huge part of the game.

A part I sadly refrain to communicate in because a) nobody ever noticed, which is quite likely because b) I really suck at it. But I may be excused, since this is really hard to do properly without profound knowledge of the used language.

Hence, I retreat to the realms of awkwardness and underwear.

I was wrong nonetheless (thanks to the tally...:D). But anyway, someone would have quite likely made a tie, since ties are rather fashionable around here...neck-ties!

Anyway, it is what it is and actually a good time to discuss the specials a bit. Without infections, it is not necessarily the best thing to hide as long as possible in the shadows since we never know what happens during night-times (except Koodauw that is :p)

Here is a list about the voting behaviors so far (I heavily miss Fenris Moonlight! As a player and a computing genius)

24. jav (3) - chrmjenkins (1) - #276
25. Koodauw (5) - Moyank (2) - #285

phew...hope that is correct, will edit if someone finds an error

couple of fun facts:
scepticalscribe has yet to receive her first vote;
it took 22 votes till I got mentioned the first time - record!

Also, I can see some interesting patterns but will have to have a closer look first.

Aight! Everything solved..:D

Closing in on the deadline, I'd like to state that I'd prefer to vote either for Tomorrow or Rick, but unless there is some massive participation happenning within the next two hours, what I doubt, voting for those two would lead next to nothing for now. So I'll side with my current archenemy Koodauw against Jav6456 for a 4-vote tie.

sorry for triple post  y'all need to sleep less..

edit: tally would be

Koodauw - 4 (Moyank, Pluto, Tomorrow, SilentPanda)
jav6456 - 4 (DP, scepticalscribe, QoS, twietee)
moyank - 2 (rick, Koodauw)
rick - 1 (chrmjenkins)
chrmjenkins - 1 (jav6546)
twietee - 1 (Sythas)

Because several times we've been dupped a turn or more due to that.

True, but lacking devastating insight, or any revelation which might come about after burning animal entrails, peering bleakly into crystal balls, or rationally applying Occam's Razor, we rely on either 1) hard irrefutable evidence, or 2) the word of someone who suggests that they may have a role to play.

Until, and unless proven otherwise, I - for now - will take twietee at his word. We can't (just yet) prove him wrong, and I would hate to see a special killed by the braying mob, just because we declined to take him/her at his/her word, and insisted on the Right to Lynch. In any case, revealed specials tend to have a relatively short - but intense - life span, in my experience......

If we err, we err. We have already erred re WoodNUFC, who was a citizen. Let us not make the same mistake over someone whose continued participation may well be of benefit to the wider community.....

twietee,
consider that as an outed special you painted a big target on your back for the night activities, so please evaluate carefully whether it is worth to divulge your role and any of the information you might have gathered.
i am not saying you should or shouldn't, that's up to you but think about it.

also, a 'procedural' note on voting and spelling:
if a vote is clearly indicating a player and is bolded, it has traditionally considered a valid vote, even if misspelled. (case in point, twietee just voted for "Jav6456" instead of Jav 6454)
in addition, a bolded vote counts, even if it is in jest.
So, in my opinion, both jav's and chris's votes for 'crhmjenkins" should count.

Koodauw - 4 (Moyank, Pluto, Tomorrow, SilentPanda)
jav6454 - 4 (DP, scepticalscribe, QoS, twietee)
moyank - 2 (rick, Koodauw)
chrmjenkins - 2 (jav6454, chrmjenkins)
twietee - 1 (Sythas)

I just noticed, that the nightwatch are called specialists in this game. Since I stated I'm someone special I might add that I'm not one of to those two.

I also think my role is best kept conceiled for today. Cylons may or may not try to kill me this night, Starbuck may or may not protect me - either way we gain a little more time for our seer to work, most probably at least.
