is anyone else having issues with links not working within macrumors?

anyways, to SilentPanda: the spreadsheet is not an alternative to in-thread tallies, just a complementary tool to look at how people votes throughout the game, without having to re-read the thread everytime.

as far as tie-breakers, to me it looks straightforward. when the deadline is reached, only those final votes count.
if there is the tie, whoever got there first, among only the final votes, is lynched.
any vote that was retracted is completely irrelevant as far as the outcome is concerned. Otherwise you'd have people decide who gets lynched while voting another person and possibly against their will, which makes zero sense.
i am fairly positive tiebreakers have usually been decided this way.

and since there were some changes, here is an updated tally:

koodauw: 4 (tomorrow, silentpanda, moyank, plutonius)
twietee: 3 (queen of spdes, koodauw, chrmjenkins)
jav6454: 2 (dontpanic, twietee)
moyank: 1 (scepticalscribe)

not voted yet: 3 (sythas, jav, rick)

Okay, outlier votes tend to mean little, and usually, count for less.

Thus, - while I still think Koodauw is being just a little too gormless - I'll opt for jav6454 - to make matters a little more interesting - and look in later, to see what is unfolding.

I switch votes often indeed. Did so from the very beginning of my [WW] career and in every following game. Only once have I been a wolf. Does it make me look suspicious? Yes. Is it a good idea for a wolf/cylon to look suspicious? But does it make me a convenient target? Yes. Wolfes are attracted by those like moths.
Switchin votes often is part of my strategy (a bad one, I know that :D), because when I want to catch a worm hiding in the wood, I knock on as many holes as I can find and not only one.

Now, if you could reason about your nightly votes Koodauw so I can see a logic there, that'll be very nice. Thank you.

In general, I find people who changes votes rather often less interesting in general than those like i.e. QoS: giving a long explanation/excuse in favor of Moyank, so that "we can make an informed decision about who we lynch" just to add a brief vote for me [#241, #243]. A wagon, you Koodauw, just happened to have hopped on straight away. ;)

A lot of good information gathered today. The crucial votes cast being 3 and 4. They seemed almost coordinated, eerily like wolves waiting to pounce. Perhaps an effort to save a comrade from an equal fate.

Tomorrow I vote for plutonius, the next Moyank.

That's your defense? Diminished responsibility? ;)

Woah!

Ok. Hum there's a lot of stuff going on. I'll go with Twietee, because I don't like bandwagonning so much that when we are near the deadline we can't switch our vote and modify the outcome.

especially since koodauw is one vote from locking majority.
and i don't thing we have a deadline yet. for now we need to get someone to 7.

I do understand that we don't have any deadline now, since not everyone have cast there vote, Looking at you Jav!

But I'm not in favor of any majority lock.

What an odd response. I'd change my vote in other circumstances, but I'd prefer to hear from the quiet ones this round too.

It seems that jav is possibly very busy (or, perhaps) travelling; either way, he hasn't offered a vote, opinion or comment. Hm. As it is clear that a vote for him is, as of now, a wasted vote, it seems that it is now time to contemplate a change.

I still think that some of Koodauw's posts are downright odd, not to say, a little gormless; however, to even things up, and introduce a note of competition to proceedings, (rather than lock in Koodauw at this stage, as he seems to be only one vote from being locked in), I'll opt for twietee, and see how things pan out.

Yea well, whatever it is that makes me ALWAYS looking guilty, with only one single vote from the wrong side needed, I think I should mention that I'm somewhat special. Not Moyank kind of awesome in a plain way, no, downright special.

Sorry guys, thought I could keep it a secret a round more or two.

Well, first of all, no vote in light of recent info.

And I think discussion about what votes we're casting and why is good strategy. So if I have some info that I think might help us lynch more wisely, I'm going to share it. It wasn't all that long an explanation, either. I've played with her many, many times, it's just a behavior I've observed. You're free to ignore it or take it into account as well, but I'd argue it's in our best interest to gather as much info as possible.

Finally, yeah, your posting habit was suspicious - for the reasons Koodauw stated.

You misunderstood my post actually. I was merely pointing out that you'd favor a discussion about what votes we're casting on the one hand but actually voted for me without any reasoning on the other. It was also the first one for me, my voting behavior was mentioned later by koodauw. That looks like a double standard - or maybe I read your post wrong.

If you all think my voting pattern is suspicious, I guess I have to live (and die) with that.

No, the reason I didn't give my thoughts is because I was waiting to see the reaction. I had a pretty good idea you were suspicious (to me), and I was hoping to get some more intel before I gave my reasoning. Which I knew would not be a problem considering it's only day 2.

Either way, I believe you for now, so moving on. :)

I void my vote for twietee then. I don't like to have a no vote without good reason then, so I'll vote for Rick Snagwell.

time for another update :):

koodauw: 5 (tomorrow, silentpanda, moyank, plutonius, twietee)
twietee: 2 (koodauw, sythas)

ricksnagwell: 1 (chrmjenkins)

not voted yet: 1 (jav6454)
