b) chrmjenkins stated that his bolded vote for himself (where I would agree with your general understanding DP) wasn't meant to count and his vote for Rick would be still active. I think as long as this remains the exception I'm ok with that.
So what about Koodauw's post? He bolded two names, which one is to count? The last? None? Theoretical questions, but with deadlines and majority locks I think it's better to be clear.
I agree. Otherwise people can start putting fake votes out there and go "No way! I voted for Si|entPanda not SilentPanda... hahahaha". People are going to spell names improperly on accident just like I'll probably use pronouns incorrectly on accident. It causes an unneeded headache in the thread. Also be clear with your bolding and don't do two plus names in a post. As many games as have been played this shouldn't even be a discussion.

had koodauw pulled the same stunt at 6 votes, he would have locked himself into majority
as far as 'jest' votes, if it is bolded, it counts, even if within a sentence that states it doesn't. this has been established from very early on, to avoid headaches and discussions.

No, I am at least as adrift as some others, and probably more adrift that most.
Twietee, that post where you......set out in some detail...votes cast was one of the most difficult things I have tried to read on this thread. I cannot make head nor tail of it; it is completely incomprehensible, but each to his own.
Never mind, there is DP's excellent (colour coded, I'm impressed) linky table, and my own clearly annotated copper-plate hand-written notes - in fountain pen (although I am rapidly running out of space to record vote changes on page 2 - damn)......and checking now, I see I can't make head nor tail of my own notes, as there are so many crossing outs, erroneous votes logged as valid ones, etc.
However, re errors, especially deliberately bolded voting errors, irrespective of whether deliberate or otherwise, my (tired) eyes simply do not see them on a screen. In my real life job, I track down dodgy votes and observe elections; here, I have neither the time nor energy to do so.
ideally you'd want to go after #12, but since we don't know who that is, you have to decide who is most likely to be a baddie
i am of the opinion that the insta-kill should be always used, even at random, rather than lost when in doubt, but i know from past games that others do not subscribe to that view.
The reasoning is that the insta-kill is a bit like a lynching, you kill without being sure, but you still do it because that's how humans kill baddies, while wolves/cylons know who they are killing.
besides, using the power would prove everyone that you are indeed who you claim
that said, if starbuck can protect you tonight you have another day to live and, possibly, to use the shot in a more informed way.

also, if I read the rules correctly, Helo can only shoot during the "day", so if you want to go for it, you have 10 minutes, otherwise we have to hope you survive the night

back to the voting situation, i can't but notice that once again the people on the bubble are not using their votes to save their skins. very puzzling
Welp I think the day is done.... so unless I'm reading things incorrectly, I predict koodauw gets lynched. And by predict I mean that's what the votes say... hopefully he's a baddie, at worst a plain jane citizen.
Insta kill near deadline is not advised as no one has a chance to change votes for the new situation unless GM clears votes and extends deadline. Is that guaranteed?
that has changed with the games. not sure what would ravenvii do in this situation.
i would make so that it simply takes the killed (and their vote) out of the picture, therefore the votes for the insta-killed become "no-votes"
in other words, the second in line gets lynched, with no extension of voting.
this gives the holder of the insta-kill an interesting tactical edge, with a lot of fun possibilities
I use DP's linky steadily, as I have my own scribbles which I extended and out came this list. It's basically DP's linky in chronological order. I think it can give you a better overview about certain voting dynamics.
For example DAY 1:
08. woodNUFC (1) - Sythas (3) - #135
showed me, that woodNUFC cast the third vote on Sythas while evebody else had one vote at max. And that quite early (= nothing really hapeneded) so that was my reason to go with woodNUFC
or
13. Koodauw (3) - Silent Panda (1) - #144
shows that Koodauw although he was heads on heads with Sythas, both having three votes, went after Silent Panda, giving him the first vote without any real explanation.
and so on and so on. But yea, overall it's a mess!
That's what I thought. But being uncomfortable with both Koodauw and Jav being lynched at the moment as I am, I thought it not a good idea. Plus, when I still have the insta-kill possibility, I'm far more attractive for the bad guys. I personally see the Seer as the most important person in the game, prolly StarBuck on the second place. I am a mere badass bodyguard doing my best to let them live a round more or two.
koodauw did a similar move today, when he changed from you to moyank (286), without explanation and little effectiveness, where a vote to Jav would have likely saved his head.
So he did. We'll see soon if he's going to detonate or not. If yes, I think I'm going to follow him.
Besides if Koodauw happens to be a baddie - it would shine a strong light on Tomorrow imho.

Not really keen. Like I said, I have no clue. But so do most if not all the others - at leat I did not read one good explanation. Tomorrow because he, just like me, was quite vocal about Koodauw's postings - and Koodauw was a very convenient target, like me. I still think there was at least one wolf among those who voted either for me or Koodauw. Tomorrow is one of those who would look 'good' either way: Koodauw being a Cylon and Koodauw being innocent. But that's as vague as it can get at this point.

Only if the real Helo was on. Wasn't a large window I don't think between when the claim was made and the day was done.
I'm entering my well known self preservation mode. Of course, you'll be expecting the "I have no evidence, but I'm a citizen" speech from me but no. Not today...
