Some thoughts....

I was a wolf with Sythas in a game where he came out as the "fake" seer, so he definitely has a history there.

In terms of the scans....If he's faking, he could just as easily cleared any of us that are still here (including the other wolf), then those that are already dead.

If I was faking, I would "clear" someone I obviously know is clean and is still alive. They would be more apt to vote the way I want them to, and more apt to believe me.


This is a tough one.

Ok, desparate might be too strong but we kinda need to get this right. And of course I would have trusted him without too much second guessing if this weren't such a peculiar situation. Good we have still a whole day to make up our minds and that we don't have to worry about locking it.

But did you just skip the whole part inbetween him outing himself and then accusing DP? since you voted directly 4mins after that.

At first, yeah. I tend to check the last post first when I've been away in case something has been made moot.

I did think of that, but there are a couple of reasons he couldn't "clear" one of us:

He proclaimed he was voting for "SS, Twietee, Melrose or QoS." on Friday. Which means He hadn't scanned any of those on Night 1 or 2. 3 of those 4 people are left.

I think he's painted himself into a corner a bit with his previous votes. But if I'm missing something, please feel free to point it out. I'm away for the weekend so sneaking on here and there where I can so as not to incur the wrath of my girlfriend. I'll check in a bit later!

looks like we are headed to another tie-break

re: Meister night-kill, it looks more likely to me he was killed exactly to make people think i was involved. funny it is you to come up with the suggestion. honestly his main argument (vote for me=wolf) was not exactly harvard debate team material. i think he was killed to reduce the pool of seemingly innocents (with moyank), or because some thought he might be a special.

i looked at sythas voting records (i also requested the State of Quebec for his criminal record, but -alas!- they send me am long list of stuff in a weird gibberish language ) and it is mostly uninformative

on day 1 he cast the very first vote on pluto, then pretty much disappeared in the background. he picked up two early votes from pluto and anjinha, which then morphed into votes for tomorrow in the tie break. he didn't vote in the moyank-tomorrow tiebreak and his psychic partner tomorrow was eventually lynched. while he didn't vote FOR tomorrow, i think pretty much everyone else initially voted to somehow safeguard their partner. his explanation was that tomorrow told him he was possibly a wolf, so he didn't trust him.
on day 2 he had an early vote on SS, which remained solitary until QOS also voted for SS at the very end, when the meister-anjinha tie was already set up. he then voted anjinha on the tiebreak.
on day 3 he voted melrose, then moyank than immediately after for Ss after moyank's remarks. he stuck to SS in the tie break.
on day 4 he voted for QOS, before switching to me after coming out claiming to be the seer.
everything can be interpreted in multiple ways, depending on what you are inclined to believe.
the one episode that stands out a bit is that he announced he was going to participate in the switcharoo, then didn't. again this could be legit, or could be that the target of the switcharoo, twietee, was less desirable to him.

for this reason he is now a bit more suspect then the rest as being #2. the next being QOS for the reasons mentioned above (btw, any comment on my post #565?, any answer to the question at the end?). then the awesome duo of melrose (the reaction to my 'voting' for him was surprising) and moyank (she is least suspect but not cleared, my paranoia now is kicking in )

on final thought about the 'desperate' thing: we kind of are, the odds are decent, but if we get it wrong it is very likely game over

I'm noticing that Pluto (voted Day1 for him) died the first night and Sythas voted for Anjinha (voted Day1 for him) during OT. Probably coincidental. Add to that his 'stayaway' vote (or no-vote) re his partner Tomorrow.

I'm switching since I don't see the benefit of having another OT when Sythas stays that cryptic and I wouldn't like to see DP and Sythas throw dice at the possible grande finale too. I'm loosely on for another two hours.

I'm not sure? You'll have to ask the wolves that one.

And what do you mean re: I could have changed my vote if I believed Moyank? My first vote for her on 5/12 was because SS gave a rather no-nonsense, passionate defense and I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I voted for Mo because she'd been silent and I figured a vote would get her to speak up. I didn't actually believe she was innocent until right before we decided to blitz twietee - in fact, I reminded her she could save herself. I didn't swap to SS to save Moyank because a) we were trying the twietee blitz, and b) I was willing to believe SS a tiny bit more than Moyank.

Answered above, and you're wrong about me. Look elsewhere, seriously. You're right we basically have one night shot left, but we're pretty much always trying to get a wolf. I don't think it changes our approach, really.

Ok I understand. I'm not a great player who can explain everything I do. I'm like Rick for that. If you think it's me and DP, why not lynch DP then me tomorrow, if there's a chance we both are wolf ? If it was me and someone else, fine! but you are saying me or DP.

I don't see the game as deeply, I guess a lot and try unusual guesses, it's better than seeing DP, Moyank or SS, a baddy every game. I did not think DP to be a baddy, at all. But after scanning him a reread his post and everything related to him and it fits. I did not know he was baddy before scanning him, just too a guess and now it fits with QoS.

Finally, I did lie : Plutonius was the hunter, don't know why he did not protected himself. I tried to stay alive tonight by bluffing about the hunter and getting another scan.

You pulled off the fake seer thing before, that's not the move of someone who doesn't have some confidence in their abilities and boldness in this game. I've seen wolves successfully claim to not know what they're doing publicly while slaughtering us behind the scenes.

I just can't buy a "random" scan approach. Not targeting certain people who are good liars/analysts right off the bat is weird.

True, but in general, people are around less on the weekend while we pretend to have real lives.

This is the third time in my life I have been in a NW (or twinning) situation. And in all three situations my partner has turned out to have been a wolf, (jav was twice infected and then killed me), and, this time twietee - whom, I'll admit, I didn't suspect for quite a while, - was also so on the side of perdition.

From now on, let no-one be surprised if I have major "issues" of trust……
