Don't Panic style chart (Red = most likely WW, Green = cleared)
twietee, abijnk, tomorrow, aggie, scepticalscribe, moyank, woodNUFC

ravenvii, chrmjenkins, koodauw, sythas

techgod, rick snagwell, astroboy

QoS, plutonius

Would be a waste. I voted for imaketouchtheme before he was gaining critical mass and could have gone another way easily. By classical voting heuristics, that's not something a wolf/inquisitor/etc would do.

A bit bummed I changed from Touch as I was the very first to vote for him (and even I wouldn't be that crazy to vote for the Alpha that early -2nd vote overall- at the first day).

Anyway, no clue where our fellow rebel woodNUFC is hiding? Anyone seen him?

I forgot about wood...

Aye, the demands of barge piloting have been taking there toll, for it has pulled me away from the talk of inquisitors and rebels. My sympathy to the Southern Family. The frantically waving shepherd had his allegiances in the right place.

I'm intrigued by the inquisitor's decision to kill Southern Dad. It's not the strategy I would have used, but hey ho, I'm just a dedicated rebel boat pilot.

Sythas I have had to work hard for my position in life. I don't trust the sons of rich men.

I would agree but I didn't see you on (post) after your vote when imaketouchtheme was getting in trouble. That's why I consider you somewhat cleared (orange).

As far as switching, I can't see any experienced players switching to save imaketouchtheme at the end. It was not guaranteed that he could be saved and it immediately would put you at the top of the WW suspect list. In one of my WW wins, I voted early for a fellow WW (It was either Firestar or Koodauw). When the votes started piling unto him, I didn't change but allowed him to die. We (WW) ended up winning the game because of that.

whats your take on the offing of southerndad?

There are 3 reasons for picking a target at night.
1) Random.
2) Picking the most dangerous.
3) Killing the cleared players.

A newer player will usually go with 1 or 2.
An experienced player will usually go with 2 or 3.
A confident experienced player will go with 3.

The WW also have to worry that there are only 2 WW left and no infection is available. If the infection was available, they would be less likely to go after cleared players since a cleared player is the best infection target. The WW also know that the game is over unless they kill the seer so they are targeting players with unknown powers.

SouthernDad was cleared and had an unknown power.

Well, following the discussion, it seems that my own misgivings about the motivations of someone born to the nobility who has chosen to throw in their lot with the skaa are shared elsewhere among several of you.

As I thought yesterday, and yet still think today, I remain more than a little suspicious of Sythas.

Seriously, I look back at the posting, and I really think I had a great influence on the outcome of Touch. I'm not with the steel ministry. Since I was with the 5 targets of the oracle, I understand I will die soon, but I don't know why I should die about the outcome of SouthernDad and the other who voted just before me, using my idea are cleared.... really confusing. Maybe it's just that silent inquisitor are always safe....

Yes, indeed. I do hear what you have said in this regard, and it is a point worth noting.

While I am usually more than a little uneasy about the true motivations and loyalties of noblemen, (and this, unfortunately, includes those who claim some sympathy with the skaa), and I share your unease about the more taciturn members of our company - for it is very confusing to attempt to discern anything in the face of such obdurate silence - I do wonder whether it is possible to shed any further light on your allegiances and true motivations?

Do you think the Lord Ruler like Nobles ? No he doesn't care. Yes we can do whatever we want with the slave, but we do need to kill them after. He control us as much as you are being control, but we don't look like being controlled, everything is done underground, by the inquisitor. No noble like inquisitor. Yes you have a rotten cage and we have one with good food and decorated, but it's a cage... Every year pass and we keep less and less of our soul...

Alright. Now that a few more of our inestimable brethren have offered a thought or two, along with a vote or two, it may be time to take stock somewhat.

Let's stir matters up a little; I shall switch my vote to WoodNUFC in order to facilitate a tie, and see what transpires from this.

I'm still not entirely convinced by what Sythas has to say (and will long retain my concerns about noblemen who claim to have disdain for the world of privilege that they have been born into; after all, the Lord Ruler has favoured the nobles, and none other in our world, based on a vague nostalgia for those who trekked with him to defeat the Darkness the best part of a millennium ago), but he has at least offered some sort of defence or explanation for his position.

My current running tally total is something along the lines as follows:

Sythas: (4): Koodauw, Astroboy, WoodNUFC, Plutonius.

WoodNUFC: (4): Twietee, Chrmjenkins, Moyank24, Scepticalscribe

Tomorrow: (1): rick snagwell

Moyank24: (1): TechGod

rick snagwell: (1): Sythas

Yet to vote: Queen of Spades, ravenvii, -aggie-, abijnk, and Tomorrow.

I am not quite certain of when the deadline is supposed to occur, but - as of now - I think this to be correct.

So I think this would be a good time for the pulser to use their power. It gives everyone else a chance to vote, and would hopefully gives us more voting history to go off of.

Doesn't seem to be much of a down side, but I could be missing it.

It seems we need a bit more time to find if there is another traitor among us! In order to let everyone have a change at voting (and have a chance at some more voting history), I extend the deadline 8 hours!
Deadline should be 8 PM MST

Looking at the rules it seems that the Pulser would set a new deadline. Any ideas how much time you think it would take? 8 hours?

Why are you both of the opinion that the Pulser should use their one-off chance to slow time on this occasion? Is the situation that pressing, or urgent?

The GG has indicated that things may run a little more slowly this week end - a choice that is his. As such, I cannot see any need why the power of the Pulser needs be extinguished just yet; indeed, this might be a somewhat precipitate action, and, for my part, I am not certain that the current situation requires or merits this for now.

Sigh. Alas, my trembling hands managed to scribe this missive just a little too late………okay, another special revealed……..well, let us see what transpires from this……in that case, let us try to make use of the extra time that has been allotted to us…..

Unfortunately I just edited my post to extend 8 hours. It seemed like a fair enough time to use it. Though I may be wrong... given it is (well, was) my first time being a special. If it was a mistake, I guess my only option now is to learn from it. I figured it was better to use it when people were asking for its use, but perhaps Koodauw asked for it on purpose to find out a special.

Well, we shall see. My dark suspicion was that this may have been an attempt to flush out individuals with certain powers, to ensure that they could not be used again, in other, shall we say, perhaps, more pressing, circumstances.

Never mind. What is done is done, and let us see what transpires from this.

However, I may sound a slight note of - caution - to newcomers to our ranks. Merely because one possesses a power does not necessarily mean that one should feel compelled to use it when the first opportunity to use so presents itself.

In other words, sometimes, it is better to wait awhile; this will have the dual function - especially if the power is a one-off, as this is - of firstly, preserving the power until needed, and secondly, keeping our enemies, guessing.

Yes, one may run the risk of an early demise, but at the very outset, we all cannot be killed (except by koloss) in one fell swoop; our internal enemies will need to be stealthy for a time yet, and it may be prudent not to reveal everything in our power too early.
