Suddenly, the ashen sky broke apart and a scarlet, angry thunderbolt hit Chrmjenkins square on his chest.
The mummer wobbled backward and could only say:

"Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturitions are to me,
As plurdled gabbleblotchits,
On a lurgid bee,
That mordiously hath blurted out,
Its earted jurtles,
Into a rancid festering confectious organ squealer"

"well, that's an improvement" murmured Abijnk

EVENING 3

The artifact was monopolizing their attention
“How is this possible?” asked abijnk, who had picked it from Scepticalscribe’s hands and was turning it in hers, fascinated.
“Magnetism” answered the Terris woman, thoughtfully.
“Mag..what?” asked Moyank
“Magnetism. It is a property some metals have. It is not allomantic, but somehow related to how lurchers and coinshots move metals.
It is not well understood: some metals attract other metals.
Mmmh. They must have embedded it in the steel plates, tracing the map. Ashes are very rich in iron ore and other metals, so they stick to the plates only where the magnetic lines have been inserted.
I have never seen anything like it. Very clever. And completely tamperproof, for what I can tell.”
“So, what is it for?”
“That, I do not know, but it must be important, if it was mscriv’s last thought”
“Well, there is only one way to find out” commented WoodNUFC
“In Luthadel?” asked Astroboy
“Oh, we ain’t going to the city nomore, boy” declared the pilot
“What do you mean? I thought.. ”
“Well, I am no Terris scholar, but I can read a map and I know this land like the back of my hand” he continued “that is pointing to Kalling, the Ashmount in the Northern Dominance. We should reach the barge shortly, then we can head to the Northern Canal”

He was interrupted by a scuffle behind them.
Aggie and Ravenvii where having a heated discussion, exchanging accusations. The mason was holding his quarry maul with both hands, fuming. Undeterred, the veteran was taunting him. Ravenvii swung the maul, but Aggie ducked backward, avoiding its massive head. The countestrike was quick, to ravenvii’s side, but he parried and faced Aggie again.
“What the heck you think you are doing?” intervened Plutonius, grasping the handle of the maul from behind. Ravenvii turned around, let go of the maul and took a long, heavy, iron hand drill, off his belt, and attacked him. Twietee and WoodNUFC tried to join the fray, weapons drawn, but they were too far away. At the same time Scepticalscribe looked up, horrified. Without thinking twice, she took mscriv’s map back from Abijnk hands and threw it spinning it at ravenvii.
The sharp edge of the heavy steel object hit the shocked mason, lodging itself deeply into his chest.
As Ravenvii gurgled a mouthful of blood, a shiny metal spike was clearly visible inside the open wound, stuck to the magnetic plate.

Ravenvii, a Steel Ministry Inquisitor, is dead
Night 3 is starting

Uh, is no one paying attention to the fact that we got another one? 2 in 3 nights. There's only one left. I don't want to say it's over, but...

SS vote killed Ravenvii at the last minute so I consider her cleared (even though I think she insulted me ("I'll confess that the play-acting of Plutonius leaves me cold; you may view it - if you like - as an example of that famously subtle Terris sense of humour…..") :D ).

Lots of voting data to use :)

She's definitely cleared.

And me? I'm an idiot. I still don't get why he wouldn't at least try to save himself. Weird.

Yes, the ones voting for me!
