he obviously suggests being the guard. maybe the real one is already voting for him, but the deadline being backstage-manipulated may very well being a ww just trolling him/us. just saying. if he's lynched a ww: that's actually good for me personally since i voted for him yesterday but bad nonetheless.

Well, me too. I voted for him as well. :D

So, I'm up for giving him the benefit of the doubt and voting for someone else. I'm just not sure why Raven? His posts in every game are somewhat questionable - it's just what he does. But the early vote for the Alpha is still a mitigating factor for me.

err, that makes no sense actually. i meant to say that if he's lynched a ww good for me (albeit I didn't vote for him today) since i did it yesterday. but if he's lynched a rebel it's good for me personally, since I wasn't ultimately involved but bad nonetheless.

So far I haven't seen -aggie- posting much at all, much less any defense against being a traitor. Has not voted for touch, and seems to just be echoing Plutonius...

yep, i agree. but he had many jav-style posts as well. and i rate him as a player who doesn't play it savety first but wants to 'play' a bit. but that's just my gut and i can understand if people don't even put this into consideration.

what's with aggie? he's super-silent.

That's 5 for aggie with a majority of 8. No need to add jet thrusters to the bandwagon just yet. Give him time to respond, at least.

And now for a random musing on Oracle use. For future Oracle use, I would recommend taking half the roster (round down for odd number roster sizes), and asking if there are at least two WW/baddies within that group. If the answer is no, you know at least 2 are in the other group (half). Either way, you know which group of nine has at least two.

In the case of this game, half would have been nine. That improves the chances from 1/5 (20%) to 2/9 (22.22%) for randomly picking a wolf. It also helps the Seer and Hunter with those same increased chances. It helps the Guard because it reduces (from 13 to 9) the number of people it makes sense to protect, as the WW wouldn't want to willingly eliminate from that group of 9 to enhance their chances of staying hidden. Of course, all of this mucks with the infection, but that is such a wild card action with so many interpretations that I think it is a net null effect on the village's chances.

so you finally started to play! :D;)

i was asking this myself, would you play it the very first day as well?

Absolutely. Play it before the infection occurs and force the WWs' hand to react to you. Especially important because the first day's vote is guaranteed random. Which odds do you like best? 3/18 (16.67%), 1/5 (20%), or 2/9 (22.22%)? Of course, it gets complicated if you want to consider more than 1 in 5 or more than 2 in 9, but those base scenarios are the most likely.

I would hazard to guess that one of the 5 voting for me are surely not rebels (including you, of course). Anyway, I have other things on my mind than this game. I mainly just volunteered to play to have some socializing, when I feel like socializing, which I haven't felt like too much. Anyway, vote for me if you wish, but you're just wasting a vote.

Regarding Pluto, I can assure you he's been honest in some of his posts, due to a certain power I have. So, whatever you do, don't vote for him, unless you think he's been infected (and from what I gather, he can't be...but I am finding this game hard to follow, unless I'm spending all my time following it, which I'm not). I will continue to vote with Pluto, mainly because I think he analyzes well, and also because he was nice enough to PM me to play.

I have no idea, I'm not going to vote yet.

You never have any idea n00b! :)

okay, back to aggie.

koodauw hasn't let me wrong yet.

Back to the old Rick I know so well. I can't wait to see you get voted for and go all panicky, like you are wont to do.

this discussion i can partake without interfering with the game. :D
i would also considering going lower, like 1/4 or even 1/3, with the idea of possibly getting a negative answer to clear people.
- with 1/4 in 18 players and 3 ww, if the answer is 'yes' you go up to 25%, if it is no, then it is 3/14, or 21%, but with 4 that are def cleared
- with 1/3, the odds are 33% if it is yes and 20% if it is no (more likely), with 3 cleared players

also with night-only infection like in this game, day 2 ore even 3 could be a good option, as infection is more likely to be used early

That's good enough for me.... :D

I don't want to vote for raven though, for reasons I've already stated. Scepticalscrible.

SS

Sorry ss but I guess I'll vote for you

----------

Yep. Confusing.

Why are you 'sorry'? Because I doubt that you are.

And why do you 'guess' (some idiomatic form of speech, perhaps) that you'll vote for me? Apart from asking whether you actually have a reason for that vote, - and do you? - I also have to query the choice of 'I guess I'll vote' for you. Really? A guess, or a reason?

I don't mind the vote per se (apart from the fact that it is illogical) but I do mind the grammar, and lack of reasoning….

Yep. Confusing.

Uh, why?

I'm still keeping my vote as is, unless I hear differently from Pluto, but I suggest the rest of y'all look at tweedledum, Rick, Chris, Koods, and Astro as being non-rebels. Having been a WW many times (but for some reason, I never am any more....I really can't remember the last time....around when Jav used to play??), they like to get a bandwagon going, and it really looked like they were doing that from my perspective.

I'm trying to use the votes from Day 1 as a guide - I guess we can say that maybe 1 of the other baddies voted for the Alpha as cover, but I can't imagine them both doing it.

That said, it's hard to analyze that spreadsheet while pretending to work. So, maybe one of the above added a waste vote at the end?
