It appears most of us are hesitant to vote without some better idea of how not to inadvertantly take out a good special. Well, I think I've got a solution to our little dilemma. If everyone could kindly quantify how lynching them would affect the game then we would have a better idea of who to vote for.

We can use these catagories:

( ) Losing me would be tragic blow to the good guys
( ) Losing me woul be a minor blow to the good guys
( ) Losing me would be a tragic blow the bad guys
( ) Losing me would be a minor blow to the bad guys

Now, if everyone would kindly please vote in one of the above categories then I think we could reach a lynching decision fairly quickly. ;)

As for myself, well I'm in an entirely different category:

(X) Losing me would be tragic for the entire game because of the enjoyment my presence brings to all other players involved. :D

That and lbro (wilbro) refusing to vote and name change just does not sit right with me. The name change really does not sit well with me. It is almost like he is trying to make us play the newbie card on him. Hence the vote change

That's a valid and well thought out reason for voting for our first lynching. It's certainly way better than some random.org nonsense that we've put up with in the past. lbro it is then.

I'll vote for lbro as well. The name change is just going to confuse me further the longer he stays around.

Hmm, a name change could get someone lynched?

Not sure how I feel about that. I think voting to lynch someone based on their reluctance to vote... okay, I can see that. I don't necessarily agree with it, but at least you are punishing someone for not taking part in the game (eg. if I have to get my hands dirty, so should everyone else).

Hmm... That is a decent reason to vote for lbro. However, Rodimus did initially vote for me. Not very nice to knock the new guy out the first round.

i'll consider switching to TVFKAW (the villager formerly known as willbro) mostly to get the game rolling, but i'd like to se his 'defense' first, if any.

and, unrelated to the game, i'd like also to know why he changed names.
pure nosey curiosity. :) (i didn't even know you could change the handle)

PM to a admin and good reason is all you need.

Not really sure how a name change makes them suspicious. But it is rather annoying after having been used to willbro for so long. I didn't even realize it was them until it was pointed out

I really hate the first vote, because we have nothing to go on at all. But Nathanmuir has not come up as a suspect at all, so I shall cast a vote for them.

Hence the reason why I switch. It was the reluctances to vote and the name change that put me over the edge.

It seems anything can get you voted off in the first round. I didn't do my homework last night. I wonder how many people will vote for me because of it.

I hope I have these order right. Having to jump around and get the votes in the right order was a little trick. I might of messed up some of the 1 votes but they do not really matter much.

Current votes. Ordered in first to last place.
Wilbro/lbro: 5 (Rodimus Prime,philbeeney,NathanMuir,Cboss,Mexbearpig)
Rodimus Prime:2 (Jav6454, iblue)
Stonyc:1 (Appleguy123)
Appleguy123: (Stonyc)
ibookG4user:1 (Don't panic)
Nathanmuir:1 (iBookG4user)
Mexbearpig:1 (chrmjenkins)

Majority is 8

Said no vote : lbro

left to vote

Just getting the game started. lbro
Edit: withdrawing vote just incase he is something import I don't want a part of it.

philbeeney, NathanMuir, Cboss and Mexbearpig, you are a making a serious mistake voting for me.

Rodimus Prime, you say you voted for me because of my reluctance to vote and because of my name change? A) I am not reluctant to vote. I simply said "I will be abstaining from voting this round unless some really incriminating evidence comes up". Now that you have voted for me with such a reason, I will vote for you. B) Me changing my username has absolutely nothing to do with anything that is going on in this game.

Everybody who's wondering why I changed my username, sorry for confusing you guys but I had to for reasons I will not say here. Me changing my username has absolutely nothing to do with anything that is going on in this game so don't use it as a lame excuse to vote me off.

Unless you provided some decent evidence as to why you shouldn't be voted off, I'm going to call your bluff.

I won't be doing so until absolutely necessary (when I have 7 votes against me)

EDIT: Seriously, why does me changing my username cast suspicion on myself? Please explain.

You'd be wise to start your defense now as usually waiting until there's only one more vote needed means everyone else thinks your lynching is a foregone conclusion and someone will change their vote just to get it over with and move the game onward. At five votes if you don't come up with something reasonable I imagine more votes will be cast against you pretty quickly, so carpe diem. I'm the last to vote, so why shouldn't I just go with the flow and vote against you?

We have time limits on these lynchings now. From the time of my post here there is 29 hours until the person with the most votes gets lynched. If you have some remarkably good ability you should probably get to telling us so people can adjust their votes accordingly. If you're a hunter and just don't want to waste your shot yet, that's fair enough but at this point you'd be better off at least outing yourself than waiting.

FWIW, while the name change confused me (and others, it seems), it certainly isn't a reason to suspect someone in this game. That's some major straw-grasping right there.

lbro (btw, is it LBRO or iBRO?), I just meant to say that i realize that the name change has nothing to do with the game, nor it should, and that i perfectly know that it's none of my business as to why. it just made me curious.

on the voting front. i haven't seen anything that makes me wanting to vote in anyone's specific direction and all the reasons so far are pretty much on the same level of the much maligned random.org (yes, including mine).
but if nothing changes shortly, i will switch to whoever has the most votes to try to get a majority today, as it would become just a war of attrition waiting for the deadline tomorrow, and a waste of time (i guess it's a side effect of having a deadline: it prevents very long days, but it also eliminates any urgency to get a majority, not sure there is solution).

Personally, I don't think it should.

However, you also posted that you would abstain (for the time being) from voting... I posted earlier why someone might be suspicious of that (eg. if I have to get my hands dirty by voting to lynch, why shouldn't you?).
Personally, I don't think that in of itself should cast any more suspicion on you either, especially since you gave a perfectly valid reason why you were abstaining at the time.

But I think you would also admit that in the first round of voting people are looking for even the thinnest reason to vote for Person A over Person B or C. I think that it is largely due to timing that your post drew the suspicion that it did.

I would agree that you should probably start defending yourself now, no matter how frustrated you might be...

EDIT: Radical Idea

How about everyone out themselves now? :)

If we have redundant outings (three Seers for example), it'd be easy to narrow things down. :) (EDIT2: Especially since the baddies can't hide behind the "I'm just a regular Villager." cover, hehe)

Oops; in my opening post I said that the deadline is 9pm, that was a typo; it's actually 9am.

And since in this game everyone is a special, i want to remind you that the post-death post cannot affect the game, including hinting at one's own roles.
