I have another suggestion (sorry ): I think we should start at day. If we start at night then someone's getting killed without having even a chance to play. If we start at day everyone gets to post and chat and try to read each other, etc.

Haha yeah sorry. My vacation's over. I came back this morning..

Nothing to do for the next...well..month-ish.

Oh good. It's just no fun to kill people when they're not around to defend themselves. :p

I agree with this as well. Chris said if enough people agree he will make the changes.

Just popping in. A couple thoughts;

Regarding the infectious/alpha and kamikaze werewolves, I see that most of the players in this game are in the previous game. I agree with anjin - I think it's a nice progression from the simple werewolf game, and doesn't make it too complex. It could also get the current players oriented to the concept of varying roles and hierarchies, and "insta-play" (the infectious werewolf's power of instantly infecting a player), which gets a lot more attention in the advanced game. Though this would mean you should perhaps bump the player count to 14-15.

Just my thoughts.

As my previous four games show, I obviously agree. Frankly, in my opinion, and as shown in my very first game, if the game starts at night, the day's voting will still be complete guesses anyway. So the only thing it accomplishes is to deprive a player of any chance to play at all. However, it could be interesting to see if goes the other way here, since most of the players here was in a previous game - maybe it would go differently. If not, then we know.

Who's Chris?

That would be chrmjenkins :)

Also, just a thought, but you should add something to the rules regarding posts of dead players/observers. It got out of hand in the main game, though it wasn't bad in the previous simple game.

I wish I could play, but anjinhamarota would probably scold me for not participating enough  :D

So, do we find out that someone is infected? Is their strategy here to wait to infect? If he infects, does this mean no one dies that night?

How does the infected find out he’s infected? A PM from Chris?

I'll want to play so long as there are no hang ups as before.

We all want that but there's never a guarantee.

Nooo, of course you can play. :p I don't think you would leave us hanging even if couldn't be around all the time.

You never know if someone is infected, you just play knowing that at some point there could be another werewolf around. That doesn't really affect the game. The difference is that instead of having to kill two werewolves potentially we'll have to kill three. We don't really know their strategy, they might infect someone right away or they might wait until people are getting suspicious of them. The werewolf infecting someone doesn't affect the killing, the infection actually can happen at any time. Yes, the ifected gets a PM from Chris.

Infectious Werewolf picks a target. If the target is a villager, the villager becomes a werewolf and joins the werewolf pack. The Infectious werewolf can infect someone at anytime between start of the game and a second before being hanged.

The villager is notfied via a PM from the Game Master.

Good enough. I am also seeing that there has been a time limit set up. That would speed things. So I am in.

I agree, we need to put this in stone so there isn't any confusion. Though I did a little of bit of it in the last simple game, it seems to have really affected the main game.

It’s pretty simple. If you’re talking about other players or making suggestions, you’re violating the rules. For example, jav came in our game and made a joke that I was a werewolf. I cringed. Even if it’s a joke, they shouldn’t joke about a player that could suggest something. Talk about eating brains, stuff like that, is okay. Making any statements that could influence another player aren’t allowed.

I think if you violate the rules, you shouldn’t be allowed to play. If someone still posts after that, they’re just an a$$. I don’t really know what to do about people not even playing.

Strategy? Why not pick someone right off the bat?

If they convert the Seer, they get the Seer's power which is, well, pretty win. Or if they got a Hunter, the Hunter would tell the wolves everything, and they would now know that the villagers no longer have a hunter among them.

Moreover, a conversion is effectively a kill in the perspective of the villagers. If the werewolves want someone on their side quickly, they could infect that person.

A pretty effective and powerful ability that should not be used too soon.

The irony of this ability.

Ok guys, OP updated. More players, kamikaze plus infectious, warning about non players and dead players posting.

I don't care if we start day or night, but at least starting during the day does give the pure doomed soul a chance to get one bullet out of his chamber and feel like he's part of the hunt.

And yes, for heavens' sake, if you die, stop trying to influence the ****b game. :p

Play anyway. People love you. You will survive long tim. :)
