Oh, and I love the fact that Microsoft can't even be bothered to take part in this pathetically childish bashing that Apple tries to do.

What, like, removing Infinite Loop from MSN maps? Completely erasing Apple from the face of the earth and replacing them with an empty field? :p

Yes - thats what it means...Leopard is like Vista 2.0. :)

Anyone believe that it could actually be released today...like for consumer consumption?

I suspect they'll be releasing previews, but there's little chance of them releasing an OS the developers haven't had a chance to play with and make sure their apps run with, especially as Leopard looks like being a fairly radical update.

(I'm predicting, at the very least, a 64 bit layer, and resolution independence. And while those are fairly radical improvements that'll impact many existing applications, they're probably not the headline features either.)

As far as "Vista 2.0", that's a lousy slogan and Apple better not use that outside of WWDC. It smacks of "Hey everyone, we're copying Microsoft, our OSes are just like their's only with less bugs." The fact Vista isn't released yet is a secondary thought.

On the other hand, maybe they're just confirming the Mac OS W thing ;-)

lol..sorry to bring down your sad OS-induced ecstasy...

Meh, you're boring.

If I had a penny for every time someone had come on here and Mac-bashed I'd be a rich man.

How about you do something original and bugger off.

What are we doing? Why do we need to post pictures of banners covered with cloth. RIDICULOUS!

You can totally tell from the dimension of the cloth that it's a promo for the new iPod widescreen. :p

Say what you want, I don't care. Just back up your statements.

If you back up your stuff with evidence you're more than welcome to hang around, if you don't you're just an average run of the mill troll.

Look... if you don't like our OS, then no problem. But then maybe our forum isn't right for you, because, you know, it is a MAC forum. Come back later today though and tell us what you think of Leopard.

Oh, I definitely will, no worries there.

As for my evidence about my previous comments...well, those banners are plenty of evidence to support the smugness and childishness of Apple. It's too bad that some of the Mac users happen to fall into that same description as well.

You ordered a Macbook pro on the eve of WWDC. ARe you mad?

Lol, I was waiting for that question :p I spotted a particularly good refurb offer one morning last week and went for it. Basically the upshot is that I'm getting really well-specced machine for about £300 less than the equivalent new machine, even with Higher Education discount. I reckoned that the most to expect from a WWDC update would be a Merom CPU and/or a slight modification to the enclosure (Magnetic Latch for example) and didn't feel this was worth £300 extra.

Coupled with the fact that a new MBP spec, if announced today, would probably take several weeks to ship (as seems to be the case with any new product announcement).

At the very worst, if we do get a massive MBP announcement, then I have 14 days to return the refurb machine, so I can still buy the new one if it's *really* good.

Ready to bite the bullet on a Mac Pro though . . . :D

I love Macrumors users who don't know the difference between "their" and "they're" and "there". So much for being a "smarter" demographic.

I vote for the WWDC announcement of the revival of the "Raspberry" iMac! NOT!

Cause he won't be. Poor sod. Stupid question, but does Microsoft have an equivalent to the WWDC? And should we go bug the PC users on their forums around that time too?

Dude, I would normally not tell someone to shut up, at the risk of getting in trouble with a mod/god, and I will neither now, but please, the thread is "WWDC 2006 Keynote Coverage", not "OMGl01z0Rzzro´0XXr, teh m4c z0rZZ uzosers r t3hh intolerant"...;)

So, if you please would post on Dellrumors.com and spoil their fun, we could have peace this one greatest Apple related day of the year...:D Okay?

NEWBIE ZORZ!:p

I can't get on IRC because of my works firewall. too bad. I was looking forward to going through this conference with the rest of the community, but now I'm just going to have to stare at the web updater thinger. ah well.

Nah, Bondi Blue is better.

While we're on the subject of language, I heard someone pronounce Bondi as "Bond-ee" rather than "Bond-eye." I had to do a double take, surely everyone knows it as "Bond-eye" I mean, it's named after the colour of the water off Bondi Beach.
