Man, anything's better than what they have now. Don't know if it's the WebDav protocol, or if it's just that they can't get their act together, but .Mac is an embarrassment that borders on unusable.

Oh..I forgot

The default protocol for .Mac will be FTP ;)

Agreed. There needs to be a huge improvement here. How hard can it be to sent a list of file names over the net? Why does it take 60-90 seconds to see what folders are even in there?

What about Bondi Bronze?

Named after the Surf Life Savers.

Meanwhile, Bondi Red is named after the poms who find themselves waking up at 11am on New Year's Day after spending the night resting their drunken heads on the sand. They went to sleep a pasty shade of pale blue (Bondi Blue) and awoke a brilliant shade of Bondi Red after being gently kissed by the early morning Aussie summer sun.

Damnit, why did I just wake up!!

Still a few more hours until that damn keynote is on Apple's website!!

I'm going back to sleep..DAMNIT!!!

Just in time for the non-sensual ramblings beforehand, with some content inbetween pages.

But seriously, they'd be more likely to spend time on Leopard and Mac mechanics with the developers than talk about iPods, iPhones and iCoffeeMakers and such? But the rumours still are an interesting read.

Cause he won't be. Poor sod. Stupid question, but does Microsoft have an equivalent to the WWDC? And should we go bug the PC users on their forums around that time too?

No, don't they have enough bugs to deal with as it is.

Mac users arent smug, or childish. Just watch the Mac commercials. Our OS is just better at doing stuff that makes sense to people. If you think Windows is better because you make pie charts for family vacations, thats OK too. Were a very accepting crowd here.

It's Apple after all, you know you're tempted to taste the forbidden fruit...

And Benaud's dark tan of choice!

Anyway, go WWDC!

Don't need anything but interested to see Leopard.

White suit, pale blue shirt, it's a story!!

Can't wait to see Leopard finally make an appearance.

I hope Apple starts including the new Intel Core Duo 2 chips in their Macbooks. That and Leopard are the only reasons that are keeping me from buying one. It'd be also nice to the silver shell of the Mac Mini replaced with a clear plastic material a la the classic Cube.

Both about due for a Fall refresh right? :)

Why is C2Duo keeping you from a Mac? They are only marginally faster than the Core Duos, and it's not that noticeable...

Hey chundles you should have been watching the Tommy Lee show, he had the maddest use for his powerbook with an external isight, he got his room mate to go to his class and check out all the chicks in his tutorial. and beam it back to him. Probably not worth watching though. But its gone to all these crappy quiz shows now. its so incredibly unfair

Agreed. The mobile Core 2 Duo isn't that much faster, although the desktop equivalent is apparently much faster than its predecessor.

Yeah, I've seen it, these are all repeats.

I'm dividing my time between A Bit of Fry and Laurie and The Chaser's War On Everything (which is now a video podcast of the full episode) - damn funny stuff.

2 hours, 22 minutes. That's choo and twenny choo, gee, thanks Richie!!

Haha, Steve would be proud to know his products are going to such good use. Speaking of iSights, you really think they would put one in the Cinema Displays? Look a bit strange wouldn't it? Knowing Apple, I'm sure they'll find a way.

Edit: it's "use", not "uses". Me fail english? But that's unpossible!

Isn't it 64bit though?

That's pretty good reason.

The desktop versions are much faster and consume less power. I was hoping that the same would hold true for the notebook equivalents. I also want Leopard to be included with my iBook too.

Why? Most people don't need to access more than 4GB of RAM. Not to mention that 2GB SO-DIMMs are ridiculously expensive.

There's no speed advantage to 64bit unless you're running massive science or maths apps and then you wouldn't be using a laptop anyway would you?
