longofest said:Alright guys... So as much as I pity the waiter/pizza guy who makes $3 an hour, lets keep the conversation somewhat closer to WWDC related.
by the way, i'm usually a good tipper.
My hopes for WWDC: Definitely wanting to see a Mac Pro, and hoping that they'll use the 3 Ghz version of the Xeon rather than skimping out and only going with 2.66 Ghz. It would be kinda sad to see such a sweet computer come out after I'd spent so much on my Quad, but I know that my Quad is still a BEAST, so I'm okay with the progress of technology.
It would also be nice to see updates and perhaps price drops on the displays. An XServe introduction would also be nice, even though I don't have a use for it. One thing that we have to keep in mind, though, is that we don't know how far along OS 10 Server for Intel is. They have dedicated a lot of resources to making sure the Client version works well, but who knows how well all of the additional applications that come with OS 10 server run... That, more than the hardware, may be what is delaying the XServe.
Thanks for the wake-up call!
I think Intel XServe is ready to go out the door
