PLACE YOUR BETS.. How long until Safari for Windows is killed?

I say 6 months.

No, not gonna happen that soon - since Safari seems to be "the platform" for cool things on the iPhone, it (Safari, Windows version) would probably live till the iPhone is alive. Unless of course, Apple decides to (finally) dump the KHTML/Konqueror base and go with Mozilla Firefox! That'd be super awesome!!!

Yet to see how Safari on Windows connects with Safari on iPhone - I mean, what exactly it provides (like iTunes on Windows does).

P.S.: Still waiting for the store to come back up and surprise us! ;)

he he he:rolleyes: ....

I didnt go to work today (it`s afternoon in iran) just to watch the stupid keynote.... congratulations on wasting my time

shame on me:(

Totally underwhelming. Most it was repeated from last year!

'Secret features'

iMacs

Anything at all to be excited about

Still, thanks MacRumors for the coverage. Great job as always.:)

BTW, don't worry about the stock sell off going on right now. As the old adage goes, buy on the rumor and sell on the news. Apple is doing all the right things. Hopefully another buying opportunity will develop over the next few weeks (a pullback or consolidation back to the trend lines).

Keynote went about how I expected it to. It would have been nice to see some hardware announced, but I wasn't holding my breath.

Oh, and let me know when the Safari for Windows beta shows up. I definitely want to try it out.

lame development "solution"

Gah! I'm so disappointed with their "solution" for development on the iPhone. Lame! May have just lost my sale until they can offer something better.

>>the menu bar in leopard is sorta-kinda-almost like vista aero-ish .. so now I am gonna get legged by the vista fanboys "say shak, wasn't it MS that copied mac?"

>> itunes and finder got down and made a zombie baby that is neither finder nor itunes, but I guess that would be alright. nothing new here ..

>> new interface? new colour scheme? NO!! I still see those DAMNED CANDY BAR SCROLL BUTTONS!!! .. core animation is introduced but that aint gonna make any big difference (edit: ok sorry that was a sweeping comment, it might, but it certainly wont take those shiny candy buttons away .. atleast make leopard skin-able steve!)

>> spaces/time machine/64-bit thingy is something that I don't think I'll be using on regular basis

>> quick look and stacks are promising .. but not enough considering how steve made such a hallabaluja about his secret features.

>> a demonstration of how iphones keyboard sucks (i'd been saying this since forever) and NO SDK?! use safari if you want to make new apps for iphones .. there goes the last hope of jobs selling me one of his new 'newtons' sorry . .iphones.

i am big big big big big mac fan . .but today i am really disappointed.

check out the apple hompage, the menu bar jacked up nasty right now

EDIT
new menu bar on the apple site. i think this is the most exciting thing i've seen from apple all day. i saw it completely loaded once. it doesnt start at the top of the page, kind of floating, and has that iluminous look to it. here's a screen shot of it jacked up

edit 2
here it is. it's a completely new site-wide redesign. appears to be a lot of ajax and animated elements.
