My coworkers are whispering about me....
..... They think I'm strange because I'm sitting here looking at MacRumorsLive all morning with my earbuds in and drooling at the screen......
............ Haven't blinked since 8:30 when I got in this morning......... Have also peed myself so I didn't have to get up from the screen incase so news flashed on here....... OMG one hour to go........ I think I see a beautiful light starting to shine......... Grandma? Is that you? But you've been gone for 28 years......... Feeling funny.......
ONE HOUR IS TOO LONG TO WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! [snip]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROFL. :D
I wouldn't be surprised if they held off on the iPhone announcement and decided to gear this toward development of the iPhone's platform. WWDC was never really a platform to launch products and in recent years its been expected of Apple to release something at a major event. I'm still gunshy about the iPhone, but all signs point to yes.
Apple has been out of iPhones for weeks; it can't afford to delay the announcement of the next generation iPhone any longer, or it will risk losing substantial sales.

ATT stinks

AT&T really isn't that bad. I don't know anyone who's 100% in love with a service provider. There are too many variables in the service industry to keep the customer happy all the time, from my experience being a client of AT&T compared to T-Mobile and Sprint, I've enjoyed their service, coverage and useful services.

I've said it before here, but ATT is absolutely the worst carrier I've ever had. I've been with all of the 4 major carriers here in the US. By far, ATT/Cingular had the worst customer service. They were rude and not very competent. And they tried sticking me with a $1395 data transfer charge that I never made (my phone log confirmed it and so did one of their techs).

I'm with Sprint now. They do screw up my bill a lot and their CSRs are sometimes barely able to speak English and understand what you are saying to them. But, they always fix the mistakes and their CSRs are at least friendly and they try to do the best they can.

I also prefer CDMA for voice quality and the soft-handoffs between towers, much better data coverage and speeds in my area too. YMMV, but based on my personal experience and those of many of my co-workers that got ATT/Cingular, I would never recommend them to anyone else.

That said, yes, I will be waiting a very long time to buy an iPhone... unless VOIP with Vonage is a possibility in the future and activation thru ATT is not required.

My N95 felt snappier when it got ran over*.

iPhone please.

*I didn't do this, it dropped out of my pocket.

That's terrible; well time to get the N96. BTW I dropped my N95 down a flight of stairs 3 times and it didn't have as much as a scratch.

I didnt mean anything bad... but it made you excited, raunchy? wait, what ...

Well, I haven't 'peed myself' like several posters have mentioned - and I am sure I wouldn't be the first Apple fanboi to 'get excited' around all things Steve (not that I am...)

Following up on the stock price posts, not sure what to make of it - if Apple 'under-delivers' against what is 'expected' I think the stock will take a hit down to $170. The hype is getting too strong and the Street will no doubt be expecting Apple to live up to it.

unfreakinbelievable

WILL YOU GUYS PLEASE SLOW THE HELL DOWN WITH THE TREAD REPLIES?!!

You have no idea how hard it is to keep up on my painfully slow 8GB EDGE-enabled iPhone!!! Everytime I finally get to bottom of what initially appeared to be the last page...3 MORE FRICKIN' PAGES HAVE BEEN ADDED!!!

Seriously...I'm rushing home as I type to fire up the ol' MacBook in time for the keynote!!

Prayer on Eve of New iPhone

Father,
We give thanks of this eve of iPhone 2.0 release.
For a year now we've stood steadfast,
Resisted smug advertising and sleek packaging,
Refrained from tasting precious fruit from thine forbidden tree,
On this most holy of holy days, we humbly ask of thee,
Deliver us our daily spam with 3G connectivity
Deliver us 2 girls 1 cup with mobile Flash ability.
Grant us video-conferencing for humble Powerbook hath none.
Let it ring from mountain top with Trick Dadddy ringtone mp3.
Let it cut & paste our songs of praise and prayer, emails and sms.
Continue to guide our hearts and minds, but now with proper GPS.
May reception be strong and ample.
May it not cost arms nor legs.
Amen.

Spotted in the wild

Ok - just caught a glimpse of a black glossy iphone in the wild on the E train in NYC.
Unfortunately, I do not have an image to back this up, but it indeed sported a black glossy casing with a noticeably larger lcd screen. Front aluminum trimming was gone as it was all black.
Just wanted to share this with everyone!

I've had ATT for a few years now, ever since I picked up my first cell phone. It's worked fine for me. Of course, it's nice that all my family and friends also have ATT, so I never use minutes calling them, and one of my friends works at an ATT store, so I kind of have my own personal ATT customer service guy ;)
