AT&T really isn't that bad. I don't know anyone who's 100% in love with a service provider. There are too many variables in the service industry to keep the customer happy all the time, from my experience being a client of AT&T compared to T-Mobile and Sprint, I've enjoyed their service, coverage and useful services.

I'm not 100% in awe with AT&T, but they have been the best for me so far; I don't if it's different, but I go through their business division... they have given me the best customer service, best coverage, least hassle; I accidentally used roaming data and they forgave me; it's all about that stuff that I'm happy about; T-Mobile just never had service for me; Verizon booted me for using too much data in their unlimited plan and then tried to stick me with the ETF... Uh no; Sprint lost my payment 3 times; sent me 5 default notices, 2 in a week--I paid ETF and left on good terms--now they owe me money. Default notices anyone?

So I'm happy with AT&T probably cause everyone else has been crappy by comparison.

The apple online store in Switzerland is down also.... You know what that means? Yes

iPhone in Switzerland (leagally)

Or it could be there's some other Apple product that is not a phone that will be released worldwide.

Following up on the stock price posts, not sure what to make of it - if Apple 'under-delivers' against what is 'expected' I think the stock will take a hit down to $170. The hype is getting too strong and the Street will no doubt be expecting Apple to live up to it.
The expectations are always ridiculous, so Apple always disappoints based on those unreasonable expectations. This time will likely be no different.

Ok - just caught a glimpse of a black glossy iphone in the wild on the E train in NYC.
Unfortunately, I do not have an image to back this up, but it indeed sported a black glossy casing with a noticeably larger lcd screen. Front aluminum trimming was gone as it was all black.
Just wanted to share this with everyone!

Really? 'cause I saw a red one!

Father,
We give thanks of this eve of iPhone 2.0 release.
For a year now we've stood steadfast,
Resisted smug advertising and sleek packaging,
Refrained from tasting precious fruit from thine forbidden tree,
On this most holy of holy days, we humbly ask of thee,
Deliver us our daily spam with 3G connectivity
Deliver us 2 girls 1 cup with mobile Flash ability.
Grant us video-conferencing for humble Powerbook hath none.
Let it ring from mountain top with Trick Dadddy ringtone mp3.
Let it cut & paste our songs of praise and prayer, emails and sms.
Continue to guide our hearts and minds, but now with proper GPS.
May reception be strong and ample.
May it not cost arms nor legs.
Amen.

My respects for you, mate!

WILL YOU GUYS PLEASE SLOW THE HELL DOWN WITH THE TREAD REPLIES?!!

You have no idea how hard it is to keep up on my painfully slow 8GB EDGE-enabled iPhone!!! Everytime I finally get to bottom of what initially appeared to be the last page...3 MORE FRICKIN' PAGES HAVE BEEN ADDED!!!

Seriously...I'm rushing home as I type to fire up the ol' MacBook in time for the keynote!!

Stop using a bloody iPhone.

Eat my "tread".

LOL :D

I've had ATT for a few years now, ever since I picked up my first cell phone. It's worked fine for me. Of course, it's nice that all my family and friends also have ATT, so I never use minutes calling them, and one of my friends works at an ATT store, so I kind of have my own personal ATT customer service guy ;)

I think service depends on your coverage area. In the Bay area, AT&T is the best around.

Engadget has some nice photos.

Rogers

Yes, please, even if it is Rogers...

What am I saying, I'm already on Rogers...

Anyone know if Koodo is GSM?

Not sure about Koodo... I've only been sticking with Rogers the last few months (I'm month to month... contract expired) in hopes of this day finally arriving... trying not to get too excited.

Did you join this forum just to post that?

ROFL. :D

Apple has been out of iPhones for weeks; it can't afford to delay the announcement of the next generation iPhone any longer, or it will risk losing substantial sales.

This is why I'm hoping they announce it for immediate release TODAY! :D:D

My iPhone fell in queso (cheese for people who don't know Mexican food, or Spanish in general) and it messed up the volume rocker. I want to listen to my music on A TOLERABLE LEVEL!

Unfortunately, as a newbie, you may not be taken very seriously without some proof...

OTOH, welcome to MR, and keep posting!

And 56K was a luxury. :D

56K! Oh, how we used to dream of 56K. In our home, if we wanted to send a file, we'd have to transcribe the bits by hand on to sheets of scrap paper and run the pages down the street, barefoot, stepping on shards of broken glass the whole way, chased by rabid dogs, and when we arrived at the next node, our father would burn the pages and beat us on the head with a wine bottle... if we were lucky!

C'mon Steve

iPhones don't hold up well when you fall on them as you slide across a parking lot after losing your balance. But hey, if mine was going to break, could there have been a better time to be in the market for a new one?

Did you ever read a book you wish wouldn't end?

Well now you have one, by the time you've read the last page another one has magically appeared behind it.

What truly sucks is that whenever you spend a minute writing a post, you have to backtrack...

The happiest day of my life was when my father switched to Franzia.

Lucky you; we had to carve the **** in our skins; no paper for us!

FAIL..

Keep your phone held tightly, or use a lanyard.

You forgot to mention that the temperature outside was always below freezing, and the trip was uphill both ways...
